New season, new race to see who will be crowned the Most Valuable Player of the new year as voted on by your peers. Each game an MVP will be selected by the opposition and the player with the most votes come the end of the season will be crowned the league MVP. Winners receive an engraved MVP belt and all the accolades that go with being the best touch/flag football player in the Province. After week #1 (and a half) we have some new names on the leader board that haven't been part of previous MVP votes...can they stay on top?

2. Bryce McDonald, James Teschuk, Rylee Woods, Stephen O'Leary, Steve Trinder (2)
3. Dozens with 1 vote
4. More Dozens with 0 votes (thus far)
Each week we will update the leader board as we track our next most valuable player, and each time you are voted on as an MVP we will put you into a draw for a gift certificate for a pitcher of Original 16 beer redeemable at Four Crowns!

After week #2 we now have quite the log jam as players start to jockey for position!

We had a shortened week with the long weekend, so not a lot of changes through week #4!

We lost track of time last week so here are weeks 5 and 6 updated! We now have so many players with 2 MVP votes that we have cut off the leader board at a minimum of three votes.

Can someone go on a hot streak to catch James? Nic Jessamine and Andrew Sullivan had a huge two weeks and closed the gap!

We truncated the list to those with at least four MVPs. This seems to end Jason Gibbons two-time reign as Summer MVP!

Where can we go to see who gets mvp for each game? or is that not possible to locate on the site?

Nothing from game to game, but if you ask the official at your game they will be able to tell you who got the MVPs for your team.

Congratulations to James Teschuk who took home the summer MVP award in dominant fashion! Leading from nearly start to finish, James' peers voted him i as our newest MVP. James gets the MVP belt and all the accolades that go along with it. Well deserved as James is not only one of the most talented players in the PIT but also one of the leagues most sportsmanlike. Win-win.
