Just a quick note of kudos to Steve Trinder for a great display of sportsmanship in our game today. My team completed a long pass on a bobbled catch in the endzone where our receiver ultimately came up with the ball. The officials didn't have a great perspective on whether it was a completion or whether the ball had hit the ground, and Steve who was in coverage near the play signaled that it was indeed a touchdown from his view.
It seems just about every game there are guys trying to convince the refs to make every ruling in their team's favour (whether it's the spot of the ball, a missed tag, etc)... and it's not too often that a player will go out of his way to make an honest call that benefits his opponent. This display of sportsmanship (as well as the fact that he played a really good game) earned Steve the MVP vote from our team. I felt it only appropriate to toss out some public kudos too in hopes that we could all take a minute to think about how we carry ourselves every game.
