Tim Shea becomes the first ever player selected from the Veterans category into the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame. The criteria for the veterans category is as follows:
"To be considered for selection in the Veterans category a player’s or Team's competitive career must have primarily occurred prior to 2008 (the inaugural year of the PIT Football League). There is no minimum win or statistical criterion to be selected for this category as many statistics were not kept prior to 2008. Players and/or teams from all leagues in Manitoba's History of Touch Football may be considered in the veterans category as we pay homage to the pioneers of the game of touch football."
Tim Shea began his playing days in 1978 in the WTFL then moved to the UTFL in 2010 where Tim retired from full time quarterbacking in outdoor after that season. Tim continues to play in the coed division in indoor. While championships were not recorded until relatively recently here are a few highlight's of the Tim's history:
Played in five different decades.
25 League Championships.
26 Labour Day Championships (both intermediate and elite).
6 Western Tournament Championships.
1 A National intermediate Championship.
