The Eagles/Knights become the first ever team selected into the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame. The criteria for the team category is as follows:

"To be considered for selection in the Team Hall of Fame, a team must have won at minimum five Touch Football championships. Those five championships may come from any division and include championships from both indoor and outdoor seasons. Teams may also be considered if they have played a minimum of ten years of football (both inside and outside of the PIT) and have reached a level of success (as measured by sportsmanship, productivity, and perseverance) in lieu of five championship trophies. In some cases longstanding teams may change names over the course of their history, thus teams must demonstrate that the majority of players have successfully transitioned from one team to the next to be deemed eligible."

The Eagles began their playing days in 1989 in the WTFL, moved to the UTFL in 2010, and the PIT Football league in 2013. They have always played in the top divisions for the entire 27 years of their existence, an incredible feat!

While championships were not recorded until relatively recently here are a few highlight's of the Eagles history:

Played in four different decades.
Ten League Championships, including 3 Elite titles.
One Labour Day Championship.
One BB National Championship.
27 years of being the classiest elite division team in football.

The PIT Crew would like to congratulate the Eagles/Knights on their selection into the first class of the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame!

Another well deserved addition to the HOF for the Silver Fox and crew. I think it's great that some of today's players who weren't even born yet (which goes for the kids of some of the Knights) will be able to learn a little more about these icons of touch football. Yes this is a lifelong sport
