Can anyone tell me what the actual rule involved here is or how it should be called. When anywhere on the field it seems when a WR is tagged, the ball is spotted where the body of the player tagged is, regardless of the balls position. Now this seems to change when on the goal-line. I have seen multiple instances where a WR is clearly inside the endzone and the as they are in the process of making a catch they are tagged, and no points are given. The refs have always said that because the ball hasn't crossed the goal line and I get that that's the cfl rule on it. But how come the WR isnt allowed to have time to even make a football move and pull the ball in? I mean, if the ball cant be extended because its unfair to the D, the WR should at least be allowed to pull the ball in. It seems to be a distinct rules advantage for the D.

When the player is tagged the ball is spotted where the ball is at the time of the tag. I have seen many a (correct) call in which the player has their feet in the end zone but the ball is caught outside of the end zone (in the field of play) and ruled no touchdown.
The goal line is the only place on the field where this is a rule as of course you can get your feet down in bounds in the end zone and catch the ball with the ball extending beyond the dead ball line (back or side of the end zone).
