Tremendous interest already generated by the news we will be starting a flag football division within the PIT. For those interested in checking out the game or learning more we will be offering a free flag football clinic at our indoor facility on Saturday March 16th @ 10:15 on Field #1. Please RSVP so we know who to expect.
Learn about the game, play some ball, and get some free swag. Not a bad way to spend an hour of your saturday night! Mark the date.

A reminder that the flag football clinic is now just one week away! Clinic starts 10:15pm on field #1 on Saturday the 16th. We will be running two clinics:
1. 8 on 8 flag limited contact (3 man line)
2. 5 on 5 no contact using field dimensions similar to indoor (but obviously played outside!)
Players and teams who are interested are invited to come out and check out the newest divisions the PIT has in store for the outdoor league.

Yes there will be.
90% of the rules cross over with touch however we want to ensure any referees who want to ref flag are up to speed on the rule differences. There will be an additional section on flag rules in the newest version of the rule book, the rules will be incorporated into all future ref clinics, and veteran refs will need to get "credentialed" as well.

A pretty decent turnout for our first clinic for flag football. Players and refs tried out both the 8x8 contact and the 5x5 non-contact versions of the sport. The PIT should be getting both of these divisions off the ground come summer so keep posted for more information.
In the meantime here are some pics from the successful flag clinic held on the weekend: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/559-flag-football-clinic-march-17th-2013
