The PIT has secured Ecole Leila North School field as one of our North locations this summer. The PIT was able to excavate the concrete piles which was the last remaining evidence of football posts from years past. The PIT would like to thank Harlo Larkin (Larkin Landscaping) for helping out by bringing the heavy machinery for this arduous, but necessary operation. The PIT will bring this field into rotation once we bring it up to the standards our membership has come to expect. The PIT crew has already aerated and thatched the field, and will add topsoil and fertilizer in the weeks to come.

Here are some pictures of the us measuring out, aerating, and squaring the field...plus the f*cking insanity that developed. The pictures tell the story...and then some.

Leila North was lined and cut on Thursday with soil trucked in to fill some of the trouble spots. Field is looking better than expected. The rain sucks for scheduling but great for the fields.

With us having a few days of sun we will be able to get in and line all of our fields over the next week. Looks like the PIT will be going on another field lining binge.

All fields have been lined every three weeks Tyler, the paint however is water soluble. Thus when we have days upon days of rain the paint will wash away. Add to that the fact that the grass has grown incredibly fast in the current weather conditions so when cut the paint is further deteriorated. If you want a full schedule of linings you can track it on the image gallery very easily. The PIT documents everything so you just have to look for information on the site if you so require it.
The end of the three week rotation is this Thursday. All fields will be relined by next week. So did our three week guarantee fall through...absolutely not. Did we have crazy rain in the last three weeks...absolutely true.

Jon I'm fairly confident that Tyler was joking, with all the information we provide on the website, no one could possible miss the work done on PIT field maintenance. We could burn the lines in with gasoline as suggested in years past!!! I'm fairly confident that the amount of field lining the PIT will do this year will equal what all other touch leagues have done in the last five years combined. Count it gentlemen, bet you a beer on it...
ps. does it count for us or against us for all the free work of field lining Jon and I did for the DUB??
The PIT runs the shoe!! Old school joke for 1 percent of the league

Leila North was relined in preparation for this weekend's games and for the remainder of the regular season. It will be our second tour of duty at Leila North. All the PIT extras included for the stretch run: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/521-leila-north-august-24th-2012

The PIT continued its field maintenance braving some snow on Friday to aerate, thatch, and seed Leila North. Seems someone attempted to off road at Leila North as well as River Elm. You know you have arrived when you have a cadre of enemies! However the hard work now and the end of the season will pay dividends come the Summer.
