The first of the championship games goes tonight starting at 6:00pm on the artificial turn of East Side Eagles Field. The canteen will be open for players and spectators, the scoreboard will be in use, the announcers booth will offer commentary, and we will crown three champions who will forever have their names engraved "Stanley-Cup" style on the nicest trophies in touch football today.

Here is a run down for anyone wanting to come out and partake in the festivities.

6:00pm Division 8 Final: Slobberknockers (6) versus the North End Hawkeyes (9)
7:40pm Division 5 Final: Brewers (1) versus Deep Pockets (3)
9:20pm Division 9 Final: Real Friends (10) versus Hardesy Wreck Shin (10)

Good luck to each of the six teams vying for the three championships on Tuesday.

No alcohol but pretty much everything else (sports drinks, soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, etc).

Buy from the canteen.

Three championship games went down on Tuesday under the lights of East Side Eagles Field, in what turned out to be perfect football weather. All three games were closely contested with two of the games coming down to the final drive to decide the victor. We will have post-game write-ups and pictures shortly but here is a quick rundown of the evenings events.

Division 8:
Slobberknockers 27 North End Hawkeyes 7

Division 5:
Brewers 21 Deep Pockets 19

Division 9:
Real Friends 32 Hardesty Wreck Shin 25

Congratulations to our three division winners and their opponents who put up three very entertaining games on Tuesday - the rest of the divisions will have their work cut out for them if they are to come close to matching our first night of championship games. Games at East Side resume on Saturday evening with the final championship games being completed on Sunday.

I have to give props to the Deep Pockets, they played us hard all year and every game could have gone either way as most were within a touchdown. It only seemed fitting to play these guys in the final and again...came down to within a touchdown........or 2 rouge for Jon And Scott.

Scott and I are glad that teams had such a blast on Tuesday. East Side Eagles Field is definitely the best venue currently available to hold a touch football game. Here are some of the pictures from Tuesdays three championship games. http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/422-championship-night-tuesday-september-27th-2011

Congrats again to the Brewers (Div 5), Slobberknockers (Div 8), and the Real Friends (Div 9) for winning their respective championship games.
