Follow the link to view the Spring 2011 Playoff Schedule: http://www.pitfootball.com/seasons/703-spring-indoor-2011/games/playoffs

Teams are reminded that semi-final games will go on Friday May 6th and championship games will be held on Saturday May 7th. The playoff schedule will be updated as playoff seeding is determined.

Any teams interested in renting an indoor field we will have two available on Saturday May 7th (8:30 and 9:30). The outdoor season starts the following weekend so that may be a great way to get the team together for some final practice time in perfect weather conditions prior to the season starting.

Good luck to all teams in their quest for championship glory. The playoffs in the PIT...making impossible...possible.

Congratulations to all teams who made the Spring 2011 playoffs - once again we had some great races and crazy tie-breaking scenarios. A reminder that the semi-finals will go Friday May 6th and all championship games will be played on Saturday May 7th. Looks like teams made a wise decision to play Spring considering the amount of SNOW that is preventing outdoor practices from occurring! Here is how the playoff match-ups will play out.

Division 1:
The Villains (1) vs Rebels (4)
Blazers (2) vs I Want Winners (3)

Division 2:
The Night Shift (1) vs Christ Punchers (4)
Y Nots (2) vs Glass Case of Emotion (3)
Christ Punchers, Y Nots, and Glass Case of Emotion all tied with identical records of 2-3. Head-to-Head points-for-and-against was used as the tie-breaker with the Christ Punchers finishing forth (-10), however Glass Case of Emotion and the Y Nots both had identical points-for-and-against at +5, so the tie-breaker system reverted back to head-to-head, with both teams winning a game against one another, head-to-head points-for-and-against was then used with the Christ Punchers removed from the equation. The Y Nots won that tie-breaker scenario by virtue of +1 compared to -1 for Glass Case. Perhaps the most parity ever seen in a division???????????

Division 3:
You Can't Coach That (1) vs Keepers of the Keg (4)
Snipers (2) vs Nomads (3)
Keepers of the Keg get the fourth place seed by virtue of their 1 point victory over the Decepticons in the regular season. Props to the Decepticons who came within a Hail Mary of defeating the undefeated You Can't Coach That last night which would have punched their ticket to the playoffs had it been answered!
Snipers get the second seed as a result of their 1 point defeat of the Nomads in the regular season. Every point counted in this division!

Division 4:
Bandits (1) vs Rolling 7s (4)
Barracudas (2) vs Dr. Debacle (3)
Rolling 7s hope to make their mark on the playoffs by eliminating Smoking Aces on the last night of the regular season
Bandits took home first by defeating the Barracudas, also on the last day of the season. Anyone seeing the parity trend here?

Division 5:
Chuckers (1) vs Butterfingers (4)
Wong Bong (2) vs Play Action Flashers (3)
Another division that came down to the last night of the season to decide playoff seeding!
First place was decided last night as Chuckers defeated Wong Bong
Likewise, the third seed goes to the Play Action Flashers who defeated the Butterfingers by 1 point, thanks to a Cara Issac sack and safety late in the game.

Division 6:
Throwing Picks and Texting Chicks (1) vs Odd Future (4)
Slobberknockers (2) vs VG Unit (3)
Throwing Picks wins the division by knocking off the Slobberknockers in the regular season
Of note: should be a great first round match-up between Slobberknockers and VG Unit as last nights game looked like a classic! Odd Future also wins their last two games to wrap up fourth place after many teams had left them for dead after starting the season 0-3.

Congratulations to all teams who made the playoffs and a big thanks to all teams who make the Spring 2011 a record year! The playoff schedule listed here: http://www.pitfootball.com/seasons/703-spring-indoor-2011/games/playoffs will be updated later in the day. Here is a good example of how tight the playoff races were in the Spring.

The Spring playoff schedule has been updated and can be viewed here: http://www.pitfootball.com/seasons/703-spring-indoor-2011/games/playoffs

A reminder to all teams that semi-finals are to be played this Friday May 6th and the finals will go Saturday May 7th. This weekend will decide who will be crowed champion? Who will have their names engraved "Stanley-Cup" style on the nicest trophies in touch football? And perhaps, most importantly, who will be the next Joe?

Why did you have to put up that Dyson video. I am still in therapy over that Super bowl.

That's not the reason why you go to therapy Owen!!!!

Not a good night to be a #1 seed as 3 out of the 6 top seeds were eliminated on Friday night! Parity is synonymous with the PIT. Here is the link to the championship games held Saturday night http://www.pitfootball.com/seasons/703-spring-indoor-2011/games/playoffs

Keep in mind the start times are 8:30pm and 9:30pm. 60 minutes of game time, 5 seconds of glory.
