Below is the tentative playoff schedule for the Winter indoor playoffs. We did our best to accommodate the hundreds of schedule requests/player conflicts, however it was impossible to honor them all. Team captains should review the schedule. Any requests for changes must be emailed to Scott or myself by Sunday February 27th. If there are any errors we will do our best to rectify them, however if it is not feasible to make requested changes then teams can still make alterations to the schedule by making game switches with their opponents. It should be noted that for all divisions other than Elite through Division 2 the top four teams make playoffs. A complete listing of tie-breaker rules are listed here: http://www.pitfootball.com/menu/indoor-rules-2010-2011

For the top three divisions in which there were not 6 teams per division the following playoff scenarios apply:
Elite: Avengers and Villains get an automatic bye to the championship finals
Div 1: 2nd place plays 3rd place, 1st place team gets an automatic bye to the championship finals
Div 2: 4th place plays 5th place, the winner of which gets the 4th seed. Following this game, 1st plays 4th, 2nd plays 3rd, the winners advance to the championship game.

FAT Predators (2) vs Gators (3)
First ever four-way tie for first place! With four teams tied and no team sweeping the series of playoff bound teams a four-way head-to-head plus minus was used to decide playoff seeding. In the head-to-head games the Mexicans were +19, FAT Predators -5, Gators -6, and Charleswood Champs -8.

Division 2:
Big Deal (1) vs winner of Blazers (4) vs Rebels (5)
Swayze Love Express (2) vs I want Winners (3)
As much as the PIT has extolled the virtues of parity among its division, and while we are not perfect (but getting there!), Division 2 has to take the cake. First place Big Deal finished with a 3-2 record, and EVERY other team in the division finished 2-3. Thus there was a four-way tie for 2nd place. Since each of the remaining four teams held a tie-breaker against the other in head-to-head match-ups 2nd through 5th place had to go to head-to-head plus/minus to settle the divisional standings. The Swayze Love Express finishes second with a head-to-head plus minus of +21 (thanks to their beat down of the Blazers last night!)
Eighty-seven time division champions I Want Winners finishes third with a +/- of 0
Blazers finish fourth with a +/- of -12
Rebels finish fifth with a +/- of -23
Thus Blazers face Rebels in a "play-in" game, the winner to face Big Deal. This will be a rematch of the Blazers 1 point overtime victory over the Rebels in the regular season. We might bring in an additional ref so that they don't run out of flags to throw in that game!

Division 4:
Polk High (1) vs HFC (4)
Awesome-O (2) vs Country Boyz (3)
HFC wins the 4th seed tie-breaker over the Daisey Dukes by virtue of their one-point regular season victory
Aweseom-O retains second place due to their defeat of the Country Boyz in the regular season

Division 5:
Still undecided

Division 6:
Da Killa Beez (1) vs Barracudas (4)
Nomads (2) vs Taylor Gang (3)
Barracudas gets the final playoff spot due to their defeat of the Decepticons in the regular season
Nomads gets the second seed due to their defeat of Taylor Gang

Division 8:
Still undecided

Division 9:
Dr.Rockso (1) vs Yolmes (4)
Onslaught (2) vs Goats (3)
Yolmes punched their ticket to the playoffs by defeating Sons of Anarchy in their final regular season game!
Onslaught is the second seed as they defeated the Goats in the regular season

Division 10:
Touchdown Low (1) vs Butterfingers (4)
Schmucks (2) vs Mongolian Village Destroyers (3)
Butterfingers slips into the playoffs over 2 and Out due to their regular season victory
The Schmucks defeat of MVD also gave them the 2nd seed

Division 11:
Peppermint Hippo (1) vs Little Giants (4)
Solid Oak (2) vs Chronic Illness (3)
A three-way tie between seeds 2-4 meant head-to-head plus/minus was used to determine the second seed. Solid Oak was +6, Little Giants +3, and Chronic Illness -9. Solid Oak got the second seed, once that tie-breaker was determined, the tie-breaker system reverted to head-to-head match up with Chronic Illness getting the 3rd seed by virtue of their regular season win over the Little Giants.

Division 13:
Play Action Flashers (1) vs Benders (4)
Free Agents (2) vs Pick 6 Ole (3)
Another three-way tie between seeds 2-4 meant head-to-head plus/minus was used to determine the second seed. Free Agents were +20, Benders -15, and Pick 6 -24. Free Agents get the second seed, once that tie-breaker was determined, the tie-breaker system reverted to head-to-head match up with Pick 6 Ole getting the 3rd seed by virtue of their regular season win over the Benders.

Division 15:
Average Joes (1) vs Long Balls (4)
VG Unit (2) vs Weiner and Taco (3)
Dammit another three way tie! Head-to-head plus/minus was used to determine the third and fourth place seeds. Wiener and Taco was +17, Long Balls -8, and Village People -9. Wiener and Taco get the 3rd seed, once that tie-breaker was determined, the tie-breaker system reverted to head-to-head match up with Long Balls getting the 4th seed by virtue of their regular season win over the the Village People.

Division 16:
Slobberknockers (1) vs Badgers (4)
Downtown (2) vs Kick Butkis (3)
Badgers get the final playoff spot by virtue of defeating the Greedy Smurfs in the regular season
Downtown gets the 2nd seed by defeating Kick Butkis in their regular season game

My God this took a long time to figure out. Parity in the PIT just means more work for the PIT Crew!

Div 4 number 1 seed is Polk High, unless we were kicked out of Div 4 and replaced with the Number 1 seed in Div 3(Gladiators). The latter being possible.

I wanted Polk High defaulted so Owen and Neil will ref. Unfortunately you have foiled my plot and I have made the correction.

There are also a few teams that requested playoff date changes (which were not listed on our schedule request form!). At any rate, we cannot move teams from one date to another (times within a day are much easier to accomplish), but I will list the teams requesting changes later today, perhaps those teams can work out something between them.

Can any team switch days with us we play Friday March 18th at 11:45pm for any other day saturday 19th or sunday 20th that would be unreal.....pretty much none of my guys can make that playoff game on the 18th.....get back to me r.matos@mymts.net

Teams should examine the schedule carefully to ensure they know the dates, times, and locations of their games.

Furthermore there are a few teams looking to make schedule changes. If your team can accommodate any such change please advise. Also note that your opponents must also agree to any changes.

1. Levels are looking to move their Friday March 18th game to the weekend of the 25th-26th
2. Downtown is looking to move their Friday March 18th game to any other later date
3. You Can't Coach that is looking to move their Saturday March 26th game to any earlier date
4. Dogg Pound is looking to move their Saturday March 19th game to any other later date
5. Touchdown Low is looking to move their Saturday March 19th game to any other late date

Perhaps the teams looking to move their March 18th/19th games should contact You Can't Coach That to work out a switch. That would seem to be a solution for two of the conflicts listed above. Note, each of the above teams should now contact their opponents to ensure they can move dates as well.

All playoff games for championship weekend have been updated and can be viewed here: http://www.pitfootball.com/seasons/628-winter-indoor-2011/games/playoffs Due to prior commitments from some teams we will not be moving the games earlier in the evening, so please note the original game times.

Two divisions were also decided on the last weekend of play.
Div 5:
The Y Nots (1) vs The Replacements (4)
Krakatoa (2) vs Guacamole Diet Pills (3)
Another parity mess! All four teams finished tied for first with identical 3-2 records! The Y Nots finished 1st by virtue of their head-to-head victories over each of the playoff teams (yet managed to lose to both teams that did not make playoffs!!!!!!???????). The remaining three teams each had one loss and one victory head-to-head and thus points for and against in those head-to-head match ups was used as the tie-breaker. With that Krakatoa was +5, Guacamole Diet Pills -1, and The Replacements -4 (talk about even!). Krakatoa gets the second seed. The tie-breaking system then reverted back to head-to-head, and Guacamole Diet Pills defeated The Replacements in the regular season and thus finished as the third-seed. Crazy.

Division 8:
Panthers (1) vs Dogg Pound (4)
Roughnecks (2) vs Rolling Sevens (3)
Panthers were the first seed due to their head-to-head victory in the regular season, knocking Roughnecks down to the second seed.
