Due to the huge demand, registration for the Fall 2010 indoor season has closed early. The PIT would like to extend a big thanks to the record 72 teams who signed up for the upcoming season. The PIT endeavors to provide the best possible game day experience for our membership, and we continue to grow as more and more teams get on board with our unique brand of full service football, where you will find the best fields, refs, teams, and swag! 84 teams signed up to play this fall, unfortunately that meant that 12 teams will not be able to partake in the indoor season at the University complex. For teams that missed out the PIT will endeavor to try to accommodate the increased demand come the Winter and Spring seasons.

We will be aligning divisions Saturday, and getting the schedule out to teams late on Sunday/early morning Monday. Divisions will be aligned according to strength of roster. Any roster additions after Saturday must be approved by the league prior to being allowed to play. Divisions will be aligned as in previous indoor seasons with 6 teams per division and the top 4 teams from each division making playoffs. A reminder that all players must fill out a new waiver form which will remain valid for the duration of the Fall 2010 season to the end of the Summer 2011 season. Waiver forms can be handed in to the referee at your first game. All players who do not have a waiver form are ruled ineligible to play and will have any games they play in forfeited.

All players should familiarize themselves with the rules of the game found here: http://www.pitfootball.com/menu/indoor-rules-2010-2011 Important changes to the rules/operations of the league have been highlighted in red.

Good luck to all teams in the Fall 2010 season in your quest for championship glory. But above all else have fun!

Divisions have now been aligned for the Fall 2010 indoor season. The schedule will be out late tomorrow night or early Monday morning.

All divisions of 6 will have the top four teams making playoffs: first vs fourth, second vs third, winners to the championship game. There will be no cross-over play in these divisions.

Elite/Division 1/Division 2 will have cross-overs:
In Division 1 the Guild and Iced Earth will receive a bye to the final.
Division 2 will see the top team get a bye with seeds two and three playing in the semi-finals.
The Avengers will not take part in the playoffs.

Divisions 3 and 4 will have cross overs:
Divisions 3 and 4 will have an interlocking schedule, with the top two teams (regardless of division) playing for the division 3 championship, the third and fourth seeds (regardless of division) playing for division 4. The bottom two teams will play in a consolation playoff game.

Good luck to all teams in their quest for one of our 14 championship trophies during our record breaking season.

Hey, how come divisions 3 and 4 have been put together? Just curious as now we lose one game during the playoffs.

We did not want to combine the Division because we were unsure how all teams would fair vs the other five teams within the division. The division 3/4 is still getting 18 games combined for the 6 teams, but you are correct, if you were to make the final in division 3/4 you would have an extra game in our original format. On the flip side, those teams finishing fifth and sixth are getting that extra game allocated to the division.

This is the information we posted originally:
Divisions 3 and 4 will have cross overs.
Divisions 3 and 4 will have an interlocking schedule, with the top two teams (regardless of division) playing for the division 3 championship, the third and fourth seeds (regardless of division) playing for division 4. The bottom two teams will play in a consolation playoff game. In fact, we are giving away PIT Championship shirts to 2 of the six teams within division 3/4 which is an additional cost.

I hope this helps clarify what our intentions were.

Don't forget the extra trophy engravings as the six teams vie for two trophies. If the PIT can find a way to lose money, we will do it!
