The PIT is proud to announce the start of registration for the Winter season in Winnipeg’s biggest and best indoor touch football league. If you wanted the best game experience, you have come to the right place!
Winter Season Information:
We listened to our players; this year we will offer a more condensed winter season while avoiding long weekends. The Winter season will begin Friday January 22nd with championship games wrapping up on Saturday March 27th (the weekend prior to Easter long weekend).
Ladies we will once again be offering a women’s division, and we will be bringing back the Co-Ed tournament January 15th & 16th (more information to come).
Costs:
Unfortunately the facility will begin paying a premium to employees who work after midnight and that cost has been pushed onto us. To keep costs as low as possible the first 60 teams who register (have their team on the website and PAID IN FULL) the costs will be exactly the same as in the fall ($630 inclusive of GST & insurance). For teams 61-80 the costs will be $665 (taxes and insurance also included). No additional facility charges will be incurred until we register teams 61 and above, at which time we need to purchase additional hours at the premium prices (so register and pay early!)
Cheques are payable to Scott McArthur or Jon Franklin. League addresses can be found on the contacts page of the www.pitfootball.com website.
Registration Deadline/League Cap:
We appreciate your support and will continue to run the best touch football league in Manitoba, however as the league grows it begins to stretch our resources. Due to the high demand for our product and the fact that we will not be happy if we offer our players anything but the best game day experience we have decided to implement a cap on teams. The league can accommodate a maximum of 80 teams over the winter and no exceptions will be made to increase the cap. We may not hit the cap as this would amount to a 33% growth rate over the same time last year, but we also did not expect to incur 66% growth in the fall either.
The registration deadline is noon Saturday January 16th. However, teams should register early to both take advantage of the reduced cost (for teams 1 thru 60) and to ensure a spot in the league. The league reserves the right to close registration early if we have reached the cap on teams.
For the players, by the players.

Registration is now open on the website. To register a team:

2. Click on "MyTeams"
3. Select to register a team
4. Go thru the signup process ensuring you select "Winter 2010/Co-Ed Tournament" for the season
5. Click on "Create"
You can view the teams registered on the Teams page. Those who have paid in full will show up in both the teams page & the standings page for the Winter 2010/Co-Ed Tournament season. Those who have not paid will not appear on the standings page.

Minimum of two girls (out of five) on the field at one time (but you could have more if you wanted). Ideally you should have at least 3 girls on the team to keep everyone rotating in, fresh and just in case of injury!
Keep posted for more information regsrding the coed tournament. Historically has been a blast and we should have lots of cool swag from our many sponsors to give out to ALL teams that enter the tournament.

So I signed up a team a few days ago
Not yet "approved"
Team name is the "Wildcatz"... but when I signed up as the Wildcats it said there was already a team name, but I did not see any by this name.
So ultimately my question is, how do I go about paying?
Is there a spot on this website where I can pay by credit card?

Hi Dale,
A team called the Wildcats played last winter indoor, the website keeps all players/teams on file for quick re-sign up in the future, so no worries on having the same name.
Teams themselves are not approved until registration has been paid for, unfortunately we are not set up to accept credit card at the moment so cash, cheque or money order will work (payable to Jon Franklin and/or Scott McArthur). If you click on the contacts page there is our contact info for mailing/dropping off payment.
Hope that helps!

For teams looking to get a jump start on the competition or to shake off some holiday rust, we will also be offering field rentals on January 15th and 16th at $110 hour (so split between two teams it would only amount to $55 per team)! You can either arrange with another team to take a slot or post on the website looking for an opponent. First paid first accommodated, spots will be limited so act fast...
91 teams listed on the site, and about one third paid, so get your cash in fast for the Winter session or you will be forced to wait for our Prime time weekday 7,8,and 9pm Spring session!
