The Football Manitoba/PIT Football Winter Flag league regular season also wrapped up on Saturday. Below are the tiebreakers and final standings going into the playoffs next weekend!
The tiebreaker system is as follows:
1. Most Points
2. Most Wins
3. Head-to-head record
4. Head-to-head points for/against
5. Overall points against
U10 DIVISION:
Turf Busters (1) vs Mini Misfits (2)
Blue Bisons (3) vs Flying Squirrels (4)
Turf Busters capture the top seed due to their higher win total compared to the Mini Misfits.
U12 DIVISION:
Power O (1) vs Winnipeg Falcons (2)
Mavericks (3) vs Prowlers (4)
Scorpions (5) vs Grizzlies (6)
Winnipeg Warriors (7) vs Ball Hawks (8)
Winnipeg Falcons and Mavericks were tied in the standings and tied each other head-to-head. Overall points against were used to break the tiebreaker with Winnipeg Falcons taking the 2nd seed with the better points against (89 compared to 126).
U14 DIVISION:
Southside Titans (1) vs Thundercats (2)
Misfits (3) vs Junior Huskies (4)
Regulators (5) vs Charleswood Eagles (6)
Rajin' Cajuns (7) vs Laces Out (8)
Sidewinders (9) vs Blizzards (10)
Winnipeg Wizards (11) vs Flag Raiders (12)
Thundercats capture the second seed due to their head-to-head victory over the Misfits.
Junior Huskies finish fourth due to their head-to-head victory over the Regulators.
Charleswood Eagles finish sixth due to their head-to-head victory over the Rajin' Cajuns.
Laces Out finishes eighth due to their head-to-head victories over both Sidewinders and Blizzard.
Sidewinders finish ninth due to their better overall points against (-13) compared to Blizzards (-30). These teams did not play each other in the regular season.
U16 DIVISION:
Mustangs (1) vs Lions (2)
Northern Ballers (3) vs Buccaneers (4)
Trailblazers (5) vs Warriors (6)
Huskies (7) vs Predators (8)
Untouchable (9) vs Speed Raiders (10)
Lions and Northern Ballers were tied in the standings and tied each other head-to-head. Overall points against were used to break the tiebreaker with the Lions taking the 2nd seed with the better points against (108 compared to 183).
Warriors finish sixth due to their head-to-head victory over the Huskies.
U18 DIVISION:
Ganggreen (1) vs Hitmen (2)
Vikings (3) vs Short and Slow (4)
Dylans Followers (5) vs winner of Cheeto Banditos/Reckless
Cheeto Banditos (6) vs Reckless (7)
Dylan's Followers finishes fifth due to their higher win total compared to Cheeto Banditos.
GIRLS DIVISION:
Gluten Free Gang (1) bye
Amigas (2) vs Gluten Lovers (3)
Playoffs wrap up at the RecPlex on Saturday March 19th. Good luck to all teams in their quest for championship glory!
