It is that time of year again to pay homage to some of the touch football greats that have played in Manitoba. We have another stellar group of players and contributors as part of the 2021 Hall of Fame class!
Our next inductee into the 2021 HOF class is Troy Thompson who has served as a Team Captain for nearly two decades!
Congratulations to Troy Thompson who was inducted into the 2021 Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame in the Team Captain category.
"To be considered for selection in the Team Captains category a player must have been a team captain for a minimum of 20 seasons of touch football (indoor and outdoor included). Team captains are the unsung heroes of touch football and this is the first Hall of Fame to pay tribute to the players that go above and beyond for their teams in an administrative capacity."
A few highlights of Troy's touch football career:
Nearly two decades of Team Captain
A team captain in both the UTFL (Ultimate Touch Football League) and PIT Football
Team Captain of numerous teams, but probably most well known for Team Captaining Suckskatchewan
Winnipeg's resident whisky connoisseur (like seriously, if you have a whisky question talk to this guy!)
