It is that time of year again to pay homage to some of the touch football greats that have played in Manitoba. We have another stellar group of players and contributors as part of the 2020 Hall of Fame class!
Our second inductee for the 2020 HOF class is Everett Shade who is one of the top officials ever to grace the football fields of Manitoba...and Florida!
Congratulations to Everett Shade who was inducted into the 2020 Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame in the Officials category.
"To be considered for selection in the Official’s category, an official must have displayed the leadership, ability, and understanding of the rules to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for the players. The official must have conducted themselves in a professional manner both on and off the field and be recognized and respected by his/her peers as a Head official, back judge or sideline referee. The Officials Hall of Fame has been created as a means of recognizing and honoring those officials who have provided many years of outstanding and dedicated service to our sport."
A few highlights of Everett's over 35 year career as a touch football official:
Everett officiated in the WTFL, UTFL, Canford, and PIT Football leagues.

Multi-time champion as a player
Everett Shade and Brad Kelm are the only officials in Manitoba history to be the head official in two separate leagues. Everett continues to officiate in Florida where he now resides.
