I was wondering what the league’s plan is if/when someone from the league tests positive?

That is a very good question. If a player, or league official/administrator, tested positive, league procedures would defer to Manitoba Health and we would follow their recommendations. As a league we cannot create our own plan, we would be required to follow the instructions of Manitoba Health.

We have attempted to go above and beyond to ensure player safety. This includes, but is not limited to, providing hand sanitizers, reducing spectators, enforcing socially distanced play, strict tracing of players on game cards, etc. While there are no guarantees, we strive to ensure we are doing whatever it takes to maintain player safety.

In the event of a cancellation of the entire season by Manitoba Health we would provide refunds as follows:

Prior to your first game: Full refund (to reiterate, this only applies if the season is cancelled by Manitoba Health and the season could not continue)
After game #1: $500
After game #2: $375 refund
After game #3: $250 refund
After game #4: $125 refund
After game #5: No refund

You will notice that the largest drop is after Game #1. This is because we have certain fixed costs like insurance, scheduling, and hours owed to the facility that the league would not receive a refund for so we need to include that in the calculations. After game #1 there is a set rate of decline per game. We don't expect cancellations but we want to be proactive in providing teams with such information.

We endeavor to have a safe and fun season of recreational sports. It is incumbent on players to ensure they are following all the rules as well. All players must familiarize themselves with the Fall indoor rules and regulations found here: https://pit.redzoneleagues.com/menu/fall-indoor-information and all players must have a waiver send to the league 24 hours in advance of their games to be eligible to play. Waiver forms can be found here: https://pit.redzoneleagues.com/league_files

All waiver forms can be sent to PITwaivers@hotmail.com
