We have received many questions regarding the Covid situation. Based on the information from Manitoba Health, sports are considered essential for both physical and mental health and are one of the programs that hasn't been impacted by the new guidelines. We are committed as an organization to ensure we exceed the standards set out by Manitoba Health.

We had many questions in the summer about why we could not "high five" or have team celebrations, or why people had to socially distance on and off the fields, or even why hand sanitizing was required before and after games. The PIT league was committed to mitigating problems and doing our part to slow the spread of Covid. We will continue to work in the best interests of our players to ensure a safe and fun environment.

For the Fall season we have the following Covid regulations in place:

Masks must be worn when entering and leaving the indoor facilities
Teams will be required to take certain paths to the fields to limit social interaction
No team lockers will be provided (washrooms will be made available)
Game times will be strictly adhered to
Hand sanitizing is required (teams will be provided with hand sanitizers)
No spectators (players playing on multiple teams will be allowed into the stands if they are awaiting a game to be played, but no one else)

The PIT football league is committed to playing the Fall season. We are also committed to playing the Fall season in the safest way possible, while still ensuring that players enjoy the best game day experience in recreational sports!
