The PIT is proud to announce the fifth year of the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame inductions. The Hall of Fame will honor those who have dedicated themselves to the sport of touch football in Manitoba. The Hall of Fame will be open to both current and retired players who have played the game. The Hall of Fame is also open to all players of any sanctioned touch football league in our Province's history (ie, not limited to the PIT Football League).
There are six categories of Hall enshrinement have been established:
1. Player
2. Team
3. Contributor
4. Veterans
5. Team Captain
6. Officials

We hope that the Hall of Fame will add another layer of the game day experience to those who have demonstrated their sportsmanship, success, perseverance, dedication, and longevity in the game of touch football in Manitoba.
Nominations can be emailed to registration@pitfootball.com. Nominations will close Friday July 31st. Every person who makes a nomination for the Hall of Fame will be put in a draw for some great prizes courtesy of our sponsors Four Crowns restaurant and bar, and Original 16 beer. Make a nomination, win some wings and a beer!

How about the first Woman?
Tricia Wilson, Myself, Nanci Martin and Kathy Blandford started the Womans league back in 1985.
Tricia was a player, a ref, a league President, played for numerous MB Championship teams, and even coached tackle football. She was also a trainer for the 1983 Churchill Bulldogs Championship H.S. tackle squad.
To spur the league on her SWAT team, Coached by Chris Morrow- Litke gathered their friends and Ladies volleyball team to form one of the first teams. Lee-Anne McIver, little sister of then former MB Bison, and then Blue Bomber Doug McIvor was her brother.
Tricia went on to become the first woman touch football ref, as well.
She later joined the Wasps and went on to represent MB at the Nationals for many years. She was an outstanding receiver and DB.
