Our partners at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have offered up a pair of tickets for a player of the week for the remainder of the outdoor season! Players will receive a ticket voucher for 2 tickets to any game remaining on the schedule (excluding Banjo Bowl). Our partnership with the Bombers has allowed us to offer discounted tickets and merchandise to our membership as well as games during both the regular season and championships. We thank the Bombers for helping us grow the game of touch and flag football in Manitoba!
Our first ever Blue Bomber player of the week is Justin Huhtala of the Fighting Elms!
The Fighting Elms are part of our inaugural indoor season of touch football at the University of Winnipeg Recplex. Why Justin? Well, Justin has hit on every stat category including leading his team in touchdown passes and is currently second in points. Quite the offensive double threat The Elms are in a collision course with the Trigger Happy Bunnies for the first ever Division 2 summer indoor touch football championship. If the Elms are to prevail, Justin will have to continue his stellar player from the indoor regular season!

Our second Blue Bomber player of the week is Desi Marinelli of the Trigger Happy Bunnies!
Desi is having quite a summer season, leading the Trigger Happy Bunnies in touchdown passes, while chipping in a couple of interceptions on defense and scoring four touchdowns on offense. Desi should have lots of experience at QB come the Fall indoor season where he will help the Bunnies tear it up!

Our third Blue Bomber player of the week is Mike Ferreira from Feeling Dangerous.
Mike is once again leading Division 5 in sacks - not surprising for a guy who averages more than a sack a game throughout his career! Feeling Dangerous is currently in first place in Division 5 as they vie for their first outdoor title. If they win, Mike will play a huge part as the weather starts to change in September and rusher become even more important!
Mike is one of the most exciting players in the league - here he is mic'd up:

Lucas Wollmann of the Super Smashed Bros is our next Blue Bombers Player of the Week!
Lucas finds himself in the top 10 in touchdown passes as this converted WR/DB phenom continues to progress in the quarterback game. Super Smashed Bros are one of the most successful outdoor teams in PIT history with multiple championships under their belt. It won’t be surprising if they are collecting their trophy at the end of the season, and if so, Lucas will be one of the main reasons!
Lucas will receive a voucher for two free tickets to an upcoming bomber game of his choice.

Nick Jessamine is the next Blue Bomber POW!
Nick Jessamine and the Kings keep on rolling. The Kings started in Division 3, were moved up to Division 2 with a Division 1 cross-over heavy schedule. The result – Nick Jessamine showing the league he is in the discussion for one of the top quarterbacks in the province! The Kings continue to roll, currently tied for first in the division, thanks in large part to Nick's 44 touchdown passes.

Our newest Winnipeg Blue Bomber POW is Kyle Willis of the Woodies!
Kyle has hit on all four different stat categories for the Woodies, including being their top scorer despite playing in limited action. To add to his scoring prowess, Kyle has five interceptions, a sack, and has thrown a couple of TD passes for good measure. Is there anything he cannot do?
Kyle will receive a voucher for two free tickets to an upcoming Bomber home game of his choice!

Our next Blue Bombers POW is Matt Lofendale of the Gym Class Heroes!
Matt continues to impress in all facets of his game. Matt can rush, play defense, catch a bomb, and throw one. In his summer 2019 incarnation Matt took the helm at quarterback for the Gym Class Heroes and leads a solid team into the playoffs with the fifth highest touchdown pass total in the division. Perhaps Matt can give a few pointers to our Bomber QB regarding throwing the ball past 5 yards…especially on second and 6 to go!
