Messages for Spring Playoff Tiebreaker Scenarios

The standings page is now updated to include all the tiebreaker scenarios for the Spring season. A record number of spring indoor teams meant that there were a record number of tiebreakers to go through. We still have a bunch of teams finishing off their regular season this upcoming weekend, but playoffs will commence for the others starting as early as May third. Next weeks schedule should be up sometime tonight.
A link to the full tiebreaker rules can be found here: https://pit.redzoneleagues.com/menu/league-rules-policies
Coed Division 1:
Connor McDavids (1) vs Nice for Coming (4)
There’s No Crying in Baseball (2) vs Sofa King Bad (3)
A four-way tie for first place showed the incredible parity in the coed division. Since all four teams had identical records and the schedule was unbalanced, overall points-for-and-against was used as the tiebreaker. With that, the Connor McDavids claim top spot, followed by There’s No Crying, Sofa King, and Nice for Coming. Should be an epic playoff series!
Coed Division 2:
Football-Demort (1) vs Sub-Atomic Dillos (4)
Defensive Touchdown Fever (2) vs Kraft’s Day Spa (3)
With the unbalanced schedule, points-for-and-against was again used to settle ties. Defensive TD Fever claims second spot with a better +/- compared to Kraft’s Day Spa.
Coed Division 3:
Flea Flickers (1) vs Coed Free Agents (2)
Flea Flickers and Coed Free Agents were relegated to Division 3 as they had a lower plus/minus compared to the Sub-Atomic Dillos who move up to Division 2.
Canadian Flag Football League (CFFL) Men’s Division 1:
Team Canada (1) vs Manitoba’s Most Wanted (2)
Canadian Flag Football League (CFFL) Men’s Division 2:
Chronic Ballers (1)
Arrows (2) vs No Punt Intended (3)
Canadian Flag Football League (CFFL) Men’s Division 3:
Churchill Bulldogs (1) vs Chapos (4)
Beerguts (2) vs All Curls (3)
All Curls take the third seed due to the Chapos default during the regular season.
Canadian Flag Football League (CFFL) Women’s Division:
Fireballs (1)
WC Winn’gina (2) vs All-Stars (3)
Division 1:
Team Canada (1) vs Guild of Calamitous Intent (2)
Division 2:
Knights (1) vs MonStars (4)
Beerhawks (2) vs Kings (3)
Beerhawks claim second spot due to their head-to-head victory over the Kings during the regular season.
Division 3:
North Bay Elites (1)
Ducks (2) vs Missed Calls (3)
North Bay is the regular season winner as they defeated the Ducks head-to-head during the regular season. Missed Calls, Filthy Few, and Brewers all finished with identical records and were 1-1 in head-to-head games, so plus/minus in those head-to-head games determined who would stay in division 3 and who would be relegated to four. Missed Calls claims the third seed with the best plus/minus (+10) compared to Brewers (0) and Filthy Few (-10).
Division 4:
Filthy Few (1)
Brewers (2) vs Lake Transcona (3)
Filthy Few will be the top seed in Division 4. Once the three-way tie between Missed Calls, Brewers and Filthy Few was broken, we revert to the first tiebreaker which is head-to-head. The Filthy Few defeated the Brewers in their regular season game.
Division 5:
Law Firm (1) vs Young Mafia (4)
Big Baller Brand (2) vs Outlaws (3)
There was a three-way tie for second through forth spot which had to be broken with head-to-head plus/minus as each team had 1-1 head-to-head records. Big Baller Brand will lay claim to the second seed with a +/- of +16, (Young Mafia -6, Outlaws -10). With the first tie-breaker settled, we revert back to head-to-head where Outlaws take third spot due to their regular season victory over Young Mafia.
Division 6:
Final weekend will decide! Seeds two through four can all change this upcoming weekend.
Division 7:
Final weekend will decide! The top five seeds are still undecided going into the final weekend.
Division 8:
North Bay (1) vs Deadbeats (4)
Other Guys (2) vs Avengers (3)
A three-way tie for first place was broken by head-to-head plus minus among the three teams involved. North Bay (+17) will finished first (Avengers -6, Other Guys -11). After the first tiebreaker was broken we revert back to head-to-head to break the next tie, and as such, the Other Guys will finish second, followed by the Avengers third.
Division 9:
Final weekend will decide! The top three seeds are still up for grabs.
Division 10:
Final weekend will decide! Will we have a four-way tie for first place?
Division 11:
Final weekend will decide! Moneyball plays Brees Knees, with the winner claiming the final playoff spot.
Division 12:
Sober Bros (1) vs North Bay Nation (4)
Post Dig Picks Route (2) vs Free Agents North (3)
PDPR vs FAN should be a barnburner! Can North Bay Nation end the undefeated streak of Sober Bros?
Division 13:
Final weekend will decide! Seeds two through five are still in play.
Division 14:
Pirates of North Bay (1) vs Shark Shirt (4)
TD Twisters (2) vs Fat Bottom Boys (3)
Pretty rare to have no tiebreakers!
Division 15:
D3F (1) vs Banda Makers (4)
Dilligafs (2) vs Athletes Foot (3)
Still one game in play this upcoming weekend that could put teams into a tiebreaker, however the head-to-head in that event still provides the top seed the higher placing so we can safely set the playoff bracket.
Division 16:
Suckskatchewan Seniors (1) vs Winnipeg Shamrocks (4)
Burland Boys (2) vs Top Shottas (3)
Top Shottas take the third seed due to their better overall plus/minus compared to the Winnipeg Shamrocks (unbalanced schedule).
Division 17:
Crusty Crusaders (1) vs Hot Bottom Feeders (4)
Delayed Projects (2) vs Trigger Happy Bunnies (3)
There was a three-way tie for seeds two through four (final division so why make things easy???). Hot Bottom Feeders are relegated to the fourth spot as they lost to both Delayed Projects and Trigger-Happy Bunnies during the regular season. Delayed Projects finishes second due to their better overall plus/minus in a division with an unbalanced schedule.

After the first tie was broken the tiebreaker system reverts back to head-to-head where Loose Cannons will finish third as they defeated Bleue's Clueless during the regular season.
Division 11:
Games on the final day of the regular season will decide seeding!
Division 13:
B Team (1) vs (4) Gotham Knights
White Men Can Jump (2) vs Touched by Mummy (3)
A three-way tie for the final playoff spot (an extreme tiebreaker rarity!) would come down to the team with the best +/- in head-to-head games between Gotham Knights, Sissy at the Helm, and Gomi's Homies...and the team who sneaks into the playoffs is...Gotham Knights with a +/- of +31 (Sissy -6, Gomi's -25).
