The standings page is now updated to include all the tiebreaker scenarios for the Fall season. A record number of indoor teams meant that there were a record number of tiebreakers to go through. We still have a bunch of teams finishing off their regular season this upcoming weekend, but playoffs will commence for the others starting March 2nd!

A link to the full tiebreaker rules can be found here: https://pit.redzoneleagues.com/menu/league-rules-policies

WHSFL Division 1:
Murdoch McKay (1) vs VMC Trojans (Black) (8)
Steinbach Sabres (2) vs St. Johns Tigers (7)
Grant Park Pirates (3) vs River East Kodiaks (6)
VMC Trojans (White) (4) vs Maples (Silver) (5)
Lots of tiebreakers, and with teams playing unbalanced schedules, to break the ties we went to strength of schedule (SOS), with the team with the hardest SOS receiving the top seed and the team with the easiest SOS would receive the bottom seed. With that in mind, Steinbach had the hardest SOS and thus finished 2nd, followed by Grant Park, and then Trojans (white). Maples Silver finished 5th, followed by River East, and then St. Johns. Trojans Black were bumped up to Division 1 by having the hardest SOS based on the tied teams between them, Sisler, Grant Park Buccaneers, and Miles Mac.

WHSFL Division 2:
Miles Mac Buckeyes (1) bye
Sisler (2) bye
Grant Park Buccaneers (3) vs Reivers (6)
Maples Black (4) vs VMC Trojans (Green) (5)
The record number of WHSFL teams made the tiebreakers interesting! Miles Mac received the top seed in Division 2 with the hardest SOS, followed by the Grant Park Buccaneers, and Sisler Red (tied SOS). Since Grant Park and Sisler had similar SOS overall points for and against was used to break that tie with Sisler moving into second with a +/- of +28. Trojans Green finishes fifth as they had the hardest schedule in the entire WHSFL division! Reivers will then finish in 6th.

Divisions 1 & 2:
Guild of Calamitous Intent (1) Bye
Beerhawks (2) vs Monstars (3)

Division 3:
Kings vs winner of Brewers (4) vs Mapetown (5)
Paddy’s Angels (2) vs North Bay Elites (3)
Kings take home the top seed due to their regular season victory over Paddy’s Angels. All teams in this division make playoffs due to their cross overs with Division 1.

Division 9:
Take the Elf (1) vs Deadbeats (4)
Nibs (2) vs Danger Zone (3)
Take the Elf secures the top-seed due to their regular season victory over Nibs. Danger Zone locks up the third-seed by defeating Deadbeats head-to-head.

Division 11:
Senior Sabres (1) vs Cousin Lovin’ (4)
Nighthawks (2) vs Vandelay Industries (3)
Nighthawks lock up the second-seed by defeating Vandelay Industries heads up during the regular season.

Division 12:
Just Given “R” (1) vs My Ball Zach Ertz (4)
Bullet Club (2) vs Onslaught (3)
A three-way tie existed for seeds 2 through 4, which had to be broken by +/- since all teams had identical 1-1 records against each other during the season. Bullet Club takes second place with a +/- of +20 (My Ball Zach -10, Onslaught -10). Head-to-head was then used to break the final tie with Onslaught victorious over My Ball Zach during the regular season.

Division 13:
Chronic Ballers (1) vs Razzle Dazzle (4)
Bleue’s Clueless (2) vs Wickermen (3)
Chronic Ballers take home the regular season title by defeating Bleue’s Clueless head-to-head.

Division 14:
North Bay (1) vs The Usual Suspects (4)
Tightest Ends (2) vs Philip Ontacos (3)
No tiebreakers??? Odd, very odd indeed.

Division 15:
Moneyball (1) vs Mayhem (4)
Ninja Turtles (2) vs Brees Knees (3)
Another three-way tie, that was decided by +/- as all three teams were locked at 1-1 head-to-head. Ninja Turtles takes the second-seed with the best +/- (+18) (Mayhem -14, Brees Knees -4). With that tiebreaker completed, we revert to the start of our tiebreakers, and Brees Knees takes third place due to their head-to-head victory over Mayhem during the regular season.

Division 17:
Low Expectations (1) vs Free Agents South (4)
Scoregasms vs Suburban Legends (2/3)
Scoregasms play Suburban Legends this weekend with the winner finishing 2nd, the loser 3rd. These two teams will renew acquaintances in the first round of the playoffs!

Division 19:
Fifty Shades of Brown (1) vs No Sacs (4)
TD Twisters (2) vs Dilligafs (3)

Good luck to all teams in their quest for championship glory!

A reminder that Spring registration will be opening shortly for games starting end of March. Best to get your teams formed now as we sold out the Winter season with a record 146 teams!

CFFL Men’s Division:
Team Canada (1) vs Pete’s Army (4)
Manitoba’s Most Wanted (2) vs The Arrows (3)
MMW secures the second seed by defeating the Arrows head-to-head during the regular season.

CFFL Women’s Division:
The WC (1) bye
The All-Stars (2) vs Iron Mavens (3)
The All-Stars and Iron Mavens had identical records and had each won a game vs one another during the regular season. Head-to-head plus/minus was used to break the tie. The All-Stars finish second (+4), the Iron Mavens third (-4). With both games being decided by less than a converted touchdown, the semi-final game should be epic!

Coed Division 1:
Connor McDavids (1) vs Atomic Dillos (4)
2 In The Endzone, 1 In The Redzone (2) vs Sofa King Bad (3)
Sofa King Bad, Flea Flickers, and the Atomic-Dillos were tied for the third spot. Since the schedule was unbalanced, we went with strength of schedule and Sofa King finished third (by having the toughest schedule). Atomic Dillos defeat Flea Flickers to take fourth – and thus both teams would finish in the top bracket, with Flea Flickers then relegated to Division 2.

Coed Division 2:
Flea Flickers (1) vs Football-Demort (4)
Defensive Touchdown Fever (2) vs There’s No Crying In Baseball (3)
There was a four-way tied for second through fourth place between Football-Demort, There’s No Crying in Baseball, Defensive Touchdown Fever, and Crutch Tossers. Since the schedule was unbalanced, strength of schedule was used to break the ties, with DTF finishing second (hardest strength of schedule), There’s No Crying third, and Football-Demort fourth. The Crutch Tossers finished fifth (easiest strength of schedule) and were thus regulated to Division 3:

Coed Division 3:
Crutch Tossers (1) vs Bus Drivers (2)

WHSFL Division 1:
Murdoch McKay (1) vs VMC Trojans (Black) (8)
Steinbach Sabres (2) vs St. Johns Tigers (7)
Grant Park Pirates (3) vs River East Kodiaks (6)
VMC Trojans (White) (4) vs Maples (Silver) (5)

Division 3:
Kings (1) vs Brewers (4)
Paddy’s Angels (2) vs North Bay Elites (3)
Kings take home the top seed due to their regular season victory over Paddy’s Angels. All teams in this division make playoffs due to their cross overs with Division 1.

Division 4:
Big Baller Brand (1) vs Average Sized Giants (4)
#D1 Bound (2) vs Filthy Few (3)
#D1 Bound finishes second due to their head-to-head victory over the Filthy Few. Both semi-finals will be repeats of the final games of the regular season, an odd quirk that will give the losing teams a quick turnaround to exact revenge!

Division 5:
Flying Squirrels (1) vs Past Our Primetime (4)
Mo Bama (2) vs The Dragins (3)
Flying Squirrels take home the regular season title by defeating Mo Bama in the regular season, Past our Primetime earns the final playoff spots by defeating Fail Mary head-to-head.

Division 6:
Missed Calls (1) vs GameCocks (4)
ProJoes (2) vs C’Mon Man (3)
There was a three-way tie for the final two playoff spots in which all three teams shared identical 1-1 records head-to-head. Points for and against were used to break the tie with C’Mon Man (+3) winning the tiebreaker (Unwanted All-Stars 0, GameCocks -2). Once one team is out of the tiebreaker, we revert to head-to-head to settle the final tie and GameCocks receive the final seed by virtue of defeating Unwanted All-Stars head-to-head. An unreal tiebreaker as all three of the head-to-head games were decided by three points or less! Parity at its finest.

Division 7:
Outlaws (1) vs Ten Toes Down (4)
Joeys Old Wood (2) vs Venum (3)
Ten Toes Down sneaks into the playoffs by defeating the VaudeVillians head-to-head, whereas Joey’s Old Wood leapfrogs Venum due to their regular season victory.

Division 8:
Young Mafia (1) vs Chuggernauts (4)
BlackOut (2) vs Blitzkrieg (3)
Young Mafia takes home first after defeating BlackOut head-to-head (by a single point!). A three-way tie for the final two spots was broken by plus/minus (head to head for all three teams was 1-1). Blitzkrieg takes the third seed with the best +/- (+8), (Feeling Dangerous +7, Chuggernauts -15). Tiebreakers revert to the beginning after one tie is settled, so Chuggernauts nab the final playoff spot since they defeated Feeling Dangerous (by a single point!) during the regular season.

Division 9:
Take the Elf (1) vs Deadbeats (4)
Nibs (2) vs Danger Zone (3)
Take the Elf secures the top-seed due to their regular season victory over Nibs. Danger Zone locks up the third-seed by defeating Deadbeats head-to-head

Division 10:
Rouge Gods (1) vs Down to Football (4)
Fake TDs, No Punts (2) vs No Punts Intended (3)
The final playoff spot had to be decided with a three-way tie between Down to Football, Not Elite Farm Team, and Loose Cannons. In this incredibly tight division, Down To Football will move on as they had the best +/- (+12) compared to Not Elite (-5) and Loose Cannons (-7)

Division 16:
Post Dig Picks (1) vs Wolfpack (4)
Sober Bros (2) vs North Bay Nation (3)
Like Division 10 we have three teams tied for the final playoff spot which would have to be decided via head-to-head plus/minus since all three teams had identical 1-1 head-to-head records. Wolfpack claws their way into the playoffs with the best +/- (+17), Awesome Team (0), White Men Can Jump (-17). Awesome Teams games were both settled by just a single point showing the razor thin line between making the playoffs and not.

Division 21:
Suckskatchewan Seniors (1) vs Maples Alumni (4)
