This past summer season we inducted the 2017 Hall of Fame Class. We have updated the HOF and are now paying homage to some of the greatest touch football players in Manitoba history, including the first ever official nominated to the Hall!

Brad Kelm needs no introduction, and he is the most fitting referee to go into the Hall as our first official inducted. The criteria for the officials category is as follows:
"To be considered for selection in the Official’s category, an official must have displayed the leadership, ability, and understanding of the rules to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for the players. The official must have conducted themselves in a professional manner both on and off the field and be recognized and respected by his/her peers as a Head official, back judge or sideline referee. The Officials Hall of Fame has been created as a means of recognizing and honoring those officials who have provided many years of outstanding and dedicated service to our sport."

Brad began officiating back in 1981 and holds just about every official's record in the province, including most games officiated (outdoor), most games officiated (indoor), most playoff games officiated and most national championship games officiated. Thirty-seven years later Brad is still the head of officials in the PIT and remains one of only three officials certified to be able to conduct officials certification in Manitoba for non-contact football.

A few highlights:
Most games officiated in Manitoba History (into the thousands!)
Head Officiated every single game in the first season of PIT Football (outdoor - 222 games!)
27 years as a player, 37 years (and counting) as an official
One of only three Manitoban's to hold a Level 5 (Instructor Level) certificate in officiating
Multi-time Tournament of Champions (National championship) official
Over 20 years of touch football administrative experience

The PIT Crew would like to congratulate Brad on his well deserved selection into the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame, we will always remember our first Brad!
