Team Manitoba, who have been practicing in the top division the past few months of indoor, participated in the Flag Football National Championships May long weekend in Saskatoon, where they defeated Team Canada to win Gold and the right to represent Canada at the World Championships in 2020. Team Manitoba had to go through two undefeated teams the final day, defeating Alberta 32-19 in the semi-finals, then Team Canada 16-13 in the final. Team Manitoba had lost its first game to Team Canada in the round robin but made the adjustments in the final and took home the Gold Medal.
We should have more information up shortly, with video of the medal rounds. However first we will be getting up our summer information which was delayed a few days because of the tournament. Stay tuned.
The National Championship title marks the first time Manitoba will represent Canada at the Worlds! Check out a few pictures of the action here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BjDc0Mpnu7b/?hl=en&taken-by=pitfootball

Congratulations to PIT players Julian Banaras and Jamie Ybarra who have both been selected to play for Team Canada at the Flag Football World Championships in Panama August long weekend. These two will be locking down players from across the world as Canada looks to win its first ever men's World Championship after finishing 5th at the previous World Championships. Team Manitoba really showed the country the caliber of players that come from the province and the PIT.
