SportsLife magazine has written an article on the growth of coed football in Manitoba and with the PIT seeing record numbers of players and teams participating in the league the article focused on many of the accomplishments of our players during our indoor seasons. A brief history of the coed league in Manitoba:

PIT Football introduced coed football in 2013. At the time the coed division was more competitive than recreational.
After year one league rules were implemented to reduce the number of division 1 players on the field to ensure competitive balance and increase the fun quotient at games.
2015 saw the implementation of both a recreational and a competitive division.
Summer 2017 saw the first ever outdoor coed division in which 5 teams competed for the first ever outdoor coed title!
Winter 2018 saw record numbers of players (120) and teams (11) participating.
Numerous records were broken as the influx of new talent added a new and exciting element to the game.
Spring 2018 have a record 9 teams participating, four in the competitive division, five in the recreational division.

The PIT views coed as one of the fastest growing non-contact football divisions, so grab your sisters, girlfriends, friends and family and start planning your summer coed team! The summer division is still played 5 on 5 on a indoor sized field, with all indoor rules applying. More information to come as we announce our summer season registration in April.
