This past summer season we inducted the 2017 Hall of Fame Class. We have updated the HOF and are now paying homage to some of the greatest touch football players in Manitoba history,

Jim Bell is just the second player ever inducted into the Current Players category of the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame. The criteria for the players category is as follows:

"To be considered for selection in the Player's Hall of Fame, a player must have led the league in one or more statistical categories on a minimum of ten different occasions. Those ten occasions may come from any division and include statistical leaders in both indoor and outdoor seasons. Players may also be considered if they have played a minimum of ten years of football (both inside and outside of the PIT) and have reached a level of success (as measured by sportsmanship, productivity, and perseverance) in lieu of leading the league in statistics in ten or more seasons. Players need not play on the same team for the duration of their statistical successes."

Jim began his playing days in 1989 with the Eagles where nearly 30 years later he continues to lead his team in Division 1! It is truly a remarkable feat to not only be quarterbacking for 30 years, but to be quarterbacking in Division 1 for the entire time makes for a Hall of Fame career. While statistics were not kept until relatively recently here are a few facts that highlight Jim's playing career:

Played in four different decades
4-time PIT Football Champion
6-time WTFL champion
2-time UTFL champion
1 Labour Day championship
1 BB Tournament of Champions Title
