We would like to announce the beginning of the High School Player of the Week which will highlight the WHSFL flag football division player who had a stellar game for that week. Each player will receive a PIT branded all-star t shirt for their efforts!
Brandon Kamenz of the VMC Trojans (White) didn’t just break out of the gates week 1, he tore them down! Scoring 30 points and adding two interceptions Brandon set himself on a record scoring pace in the WHSFL flag football division. With play like that, Brandon has led the Trojans to a sparkling 2-0 start to the season and for his efforts Brandon will receive the High School #FlagFootball POW award!

Harper Brown of the Maples Marauders is your prototypical wide receiver. Size, skill, hands, the total package wreaked havoc on the Grant Park defense all night. With about 15 catches and over 100 yards receiving Harper had himself a great first game in the PIT, with many of his catches of the highlight reel variety. Teams will have a tough time covering Harper as he will present mismatches all season long. For his highlight reel catches Harper will receive the High School #FlagFootball POW award!

Austin Balan of Sisler (Red) is lighting up the scoreboard and shutting teams down on defense. This all around player scored 19 points and added an interception in Sisler's match-up against the VMC Trojans (Grey). This double threat has kept Sisler on the A side for playoffs thus far and if his play keeps up we may see a rematch against the Trojans in the WHSFL Flag Football Finals.

The Steinbach Sabres are in their first year in the WHSFL flag football division and they have taken it by storm! Currently they are one of only two unbeaten teams in the division, due in part to a couple of budding superstars! One of them, Ethan Gruninger is second in the league in scoring and top 10 in interceptions and has also added a sack and a touchdown pass to make sure his stat line is stacked! For knocking down every stat, Ethan is your High School player of the week!

Jacob Sanchez is the only two-time weekend warrior and now adds the WHSFL player of the week award to his mantle! Jacob currently leads the flag division in scoring and interceptions. His double duties on the field are a large reason that Grant Park is battling for Division 1 supremacy! Can we say MVP?
