Messages for Summer MVP Program

As teams have noticed this summer we are asking each team to select a team MVP award for each game played. All players who are selected for game MVPs will go into a draw for the player of the week award courtesy of our newest sponsor River City Steak Company (RCSC). Each division will have one player selected as the MVP for the week and they will win a steak dinner courtesy of River City Steak Company. That means that up to 11 players each week will be receiving a steak dinner!

At the end of each season a seasonal MVP will be crowned. The MVP for each season will be the player who accumulated the most MVP selections during the regular season! We are also instructing teams that sportsmanship should count for just as much if not more than individual statistical achievements when selecting a player of the week. To emphasize this, any players who receive an objectionable conduct penalty during the season will have an MVP subtracted from their totals and will be ineligible to win any player of the week awards in the week they received an OC.

In addition to the seasonal MVPs we will also have an overall MVP chosen from the Summer 2017 season to the Spring 2018 season! The player who accumulates the most game MVPs during the four seasons will win a set of Winnipeg Blue Bomber season tickets courtesy of our sponsors at the Winnipeg Football Club! The more you play, the more opportunities you will have to be selected for the game MVPs. The overall winner will be selected from those players who played from the Summer 2017 season to the end of the Spring 2018 season.

A huge thanks to our newest sponsors at River City Steak Company and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for helping us make this great new addition to the league happen!
