New for 2017 we have added two new PIT Crew members to our team to help with the growth of the league.
First we would like to welcome Owen Nagy who will be the new head of officials - taking over for Brad Kelm while he is in Mexico for the Winter. Owen will be in charge of training new referees and helping with rule enforcement and interpretation. Owen will also be revising the touch football rule book for the Summer. Pretty sure he would be in the top three people in the Province in terms of rules knowledge so he will be a great asset to the team. If you have questions regarding rule interpretation Owen will be your contact! Owen will also be helping the league in an even greater capacity but more on that will be forthcoming shortly!
Second we are officially welcoming Gaani Maan to the PIT Crew. You many remember Ganni as he helped put on the very successful Banjo Bowl sponsorship in which we hooked up 8 PIT members to the coveted Bomber game. As we hit 4000 league members we now have leverage when approaching major sponsors and he will be in charge of getting those sponsorship for the league as our Marketing and Sponsorship coordinator. We will continue to offer great perks like player of the week awards but we are now starting to aim higher to ensure you have the best game day experience possible. To that Ganni will be making your playing days in the PIT even that much better as we strive to continue to be the best recreational league in all of sport.
