The PIT is once again partnering with the Winnipeg High School Football League to put on a high school flag football division during the Winter season. To be eligible to play, players must be born after January 1st 2000. Players may join their high school team but if they do not have a participating school may enter as a free agent. The cost for a team in the high school division is $700 or $90 as a free agent. As an added bonus all teams will make playoffs and all free agents will be provided with a jersey.
To make things even better the Winter season will be used as an ID camp to help send a provincial U18 and U16 team to Nationals in Kelowna, BC this summer. Last year the winning team was regarded as the Provincial team however this year the onus will be on players making the cut to participate. The winners last year won gold at Nationals and the goal is to repeat as national champions this year. So come out an wow the coaches and book your trip to Kelowna!

If there are any players wanting to play on the U18 free agent flag team please contact us asap as the deadline for registration is this Friday January 6th! In combination with Football Manitoba we will be identifying players for tryouts for the provincial flag team with the players selected receiving a trip to the National championships tentatively set for Kelowna BC in July (dates TBA). Cost is $90 per player. The $90 will include a jersey, flags and a minimum of 6 games (5 regular season and 1 playoff). Games will be held at either the Garden City indoor complex or the University of Manitoba indoor complex at our earliest time slots (between 7:45 and 10:45pm) on Fridays and Saturdays.
Last year we won the gold medal at Nationals and are looking for a repeat performance this year!
