Swiss Chalet is back sponsoring a player of the week award for the fall by offering an award to those who have some break out games during the season. Winners will enjoy a great meal courtesy of Swiss Chalet (valid at the Kenaston Location Only).
Amit Manget had a breakout game during the first weekend throwing for five touchdowns, intercepting two passes on defense and scoring a touchdown to put Patiala Island on the map and himself into the top ten in all three categories of those statistical categories. Both Patiala and their nemesis Spanish Channel News had a great start to the season setting up a great showdown which Amit I am sure is looking forward too. The icing on the cake was playing at the newest and best field house in Manitoba which is conveniently located just down the street from these guys. Home field advantage definitely paid off!
With stats like that Amit won't get stopped by any defense this season...or any gate!
Congratulations, your gift certificate will be attached to a future game card!

The second Swiss Chalet Player of the Week (POW) award goes to Tim Knight of the Upper Deckers who poured in 32 points last weekend leading his team to a 1-1 record. Tim had games of 13 and 19 points and those five touchdowns put him solidly in first place in Division 11 scoring. The 32 points bests both of Tim’s previous seasons in scoring…combined.
If Tim keeps up this torrid scoring pace he will be allowed to show of his succulents to everyone.

Nick Liang is our newest Swiss Chalet Player of the Week (POW) award after lighting up the stat sheet last weekend. Nick went off for a sack, an interception, a touchdown and a two-point convert in the Practice Squad Rejects victory. One of our newest coed teams have hit the ground running and are currently vying for top spot in the division. This team has surprised everyone by their play and could be the top coed team in the province very shortly.
Clearly everyone will see Nick now!

In Week four Ethan Grycko of Dez Dropped It had three interceptions against one of the best QBs in Division 5 moving him into a fifth place tie with his fellow teammate Darnell Wyke. While the W’s haven’t been mounting for one of our newest and perhaps most athletic team in the PIT, go out and watch these guys play and you can see the skill they have. This team will be downright scary in the not too distant future as they have come into Division 5 in their first season and have played all the veteran teams tough. While Dez did drop that pass, clearly Ethan is catching everything opposing quarterbacks are throwing his way!
I am certain their second season in the PIT is as good as this one:

This past weekend David Walford of the THCHawks scored a touchdown, had a sack and hauled in an interception in a heart-breaking defeat against the Cat's Meow. This game had huge playoff implications in Division 5 as the winner would take over the final playoff spot and this game lived up to its billing. The THCHawks battled back at the end of the game to move the game within one point and decided to go for two-points and the win rather than send the game into overtime. Wanting to control their own destiny they went for two points (which is definitely the correct decision!) but unfortunately a big defensive play by the Cat's Meow sent the hawks to a one-point defeat. David is currently fourth in the division in sacks and seventh in scoring and can move up the statistical ladder still with one game remaining in the season.
Those stats are tripping me out man!

Demi Aremu ended the regular season on a high note scoring three touchdowns and picking off the Guardians quarterback three times as well! It was win or go home for the Warriors in their final game and Demi was not going home. His 18 points moved him into first place in scoring in Division 14 and this three interceptions also moved him into first place in that category. The only player in the Fall to lead his division in both stats!
Demi is going to enjoy putting some Swiss Chalet in his mouth.
