Randy Stankewich becomes the first ever person selected from the Team Captains category into the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame. The criteria for the team captains category is as follows:
"To be considered for selection in the Team Captains category a player must have been a team captain for a minimum of 20 seasons of touch football (indoor and outdoor included). Team captains are the unsung heroes of touch football and this is the first Hall of Fame to pay tribute to the players that go above and beyond for their teams in an administrative capacity."
Randy Stankewich began playing in 1982 and captaining in 1984. In Randy's 32 years as a team captain he has organized 16 different teams. The Detonators, Blue Devils and Rampage have been the mainstay teams over the years for which Randy has been team captain.
32 years as a team captain.
10 League Championships (8 outdoor, 2 indoor).
4 Tournament Championships.
1988 Manitoba Summer Games Champion.
