John Robertson becomes the first ever person selected from the Contributors category into the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame. The criteria for the contributors category is as follows:

"To be considered for selection in the Contributor category, an individual must have contributed to the game significantly in areas outside of the competitive arena (i.e. administrator, league architect, innovator, instructor, coach etc.). Contributors have changed the game for the better and lay the groundwork for the future success of touch football in Manitoba.."

John Robertson began playing football in the 1960s and moved to administration in the 70s, founding CANFORD Sports in 1975. 42 years later CANFORD is still running recreational sports programming.

Five decades as a league administrator.
Founder of CANFORD Sports.
Harry Hood Award winner given to the best high school tackle player in the Province.
Runner up to Gord Patterson (bomber alumni) for the best Manitoba tackle football player from the 1960's.
