While I have been busy putting together the playoff schedule (out tonight) and working on the Hall of Fame Class (out earlier today) I haven't been monitoring the registration very closely...then today I check the teams page and exclaimed 'jeebus!'. A tonne of teams have signed up over the last 7 days! I guess the thrill of playing in Manitoba's premier indoor facility and playing during prime time caught people's attention. We now already have 80 teams signed up on the website and we have only budgeted for 88 teams.
We have NEVER hit that kind of registration interest prior to the end of September, a testament to you the players, the growth of touch football in the province, and to how well we run our league. So we are giving teams fair warning that we are well ahead of any registration period in terms of teams!
Teams are strongly encouraged to get their teams up on the website or miss out on what should be the start of something special in our new facility!
