Messages for Playoff Seeds and Tiebreakers

The standings page has been updated as best we can. With only a few games remaining it is amazing how little has been decided. Divisions 7, 8, 12, and 13 still can't even be broken into separate divisions and will come down to the wire with the remaining games to be played after the long weekend.
REMINDER: Playoffs begin Sunday September 11th (playoff schedule will be released on Saturday September 3rd)! All tiebreakers assume no defaults in the final week of play. Our tiebreaker system for playoffs can be found here: http://pitfootball.com/menu/outdoor-rules
Here are the tiebreakers we have thus far:
Division 1: TBD
Quarterfinal: Beeray (4) vs Remember the Titans (5)
Division 2:
TBD
Division 3:
TBD
Division 4:
The Aints (1) vs Ninja Milita (4)
Enforcers (2) vs SouthSide Trojans (3)
Both Rampage and Eagle 88 could tie Ninja Militia however due to Ninja Militia defaulting a game they will automatically receive the higher seed. Normally defaulting teams receive the lower seed however according to our outdoor rules: "If a defaulted game is advantageous to the defaulting team the league will remove said advantage. For example, if divisions are split for playoffs and a default puts the defaulting team in a better playoff scenario (i.e., bumps the team down a division) the defaulting team will instead receive the higher seed." As such Ninja Militia would be given the higher seed regardless of a tie.
Division 5:
TBD
Quarterfinal: The Kings (4) vs No Limit Training (5)
Division 6: TBD
Division 7: TBD
Division 8: TBD 6 teams within four points of one another down the stretch, perhaps the best division in outdoor this year!
Division 9: TBD
Division 10:
Boozers (1) vs winner Blue Balls/Mayhem
FUBAR (2) vs Dirty One Eyed Hogs (3)
Boozers win the tiebreaker (and the division) over FUBAR due to their better plus/minus in their head-to-head games. Both teams went 1 and 1 during the regular season however the Boozers had the +11 points differential in those two games.
There was a three-way tie between Mayhem, The Blouses and Suckskatchewan for the final playoff spot in Division 10. Each team went 1 and 1 in their head-to-head games (2-2 overall) thus plus/minus was used to decide the final playoff spot. Mayhem slips into Division 10 with a plus/minus of +41 (The Blouses -9, Sucksatchewan -32) in those head-to-head games. Continued in Division 11.
Division 11:
Suckskatchewan (1)
Blouses Football (2)
Remainder TBD
When a seed is determined the tiebreakers reset, so after Mayhem received the final seed in Division 10 they were removed from the tiebreaker equation. As a consequence, The Blouses and Suckskatchewan still had identical 1-1 records versus one another so plus/minus within those games was used to decide a tiebreaker. With Mayhem removed, Susksatchewan takes the top seed in Division 11 due to their +7 points differential (The Blouses -7).
Division 12: TBD
Division 13: TBD
Some great races down to the wire, this week will decide quite a few seeds and how the divisions will split for playoffs!

Here are the tiebreakers we have thus far:
Division 1:
Guild of Calamitous Intent (1) vs Winner Beeray/Remember the Titans
The Knights (2) vs The Jeffery (3)
Quarterfinal: Beeray (4) vs Remember the Titans (5)
Division 2:
The Ledge (1) vs Winner No D/Monstars
No D (2) vs Monstars (3)
Division 3:
Snappers (1) vs Beerhawks (4)
Sleeveless Monstars (2) vs Warriors (3)
Sleeveless Monstars receives the second seed due to the Warriors default during the regular season.
Division 4:
The Aints (1) vs Ninja Milita (4)
Enforcers (2) vs SouthSide Trojans (3)
Both Rampage and Eagle 88 tied Ninja Militia however due to Ninja Militia defaulting a game they will automatically receive the higher seed. Normally defaulting teams receive the lower seed however according to our outdoor rules: "If a defaulted game is advantageous to the defaulting team the league will remove said advantage. Division 5:
Rampage (1) vs Winner Kings/No Limit Training
Eagle 88 (2) vs Big Deal (3)
Quarterfinal: The Kings (4) vs No Limit Training (5)
Rampage secures top spot due to their better overall plus/minus. The two teams were tied at the end of the regular season and both teams held a 1-1 record head-to-head. When plus/minus in the head-to-head games were factored in both teams were at 0! Rampage won the first game by 13, Eagle 88 the second game by 13 - as a result overall plus/minus was used and Rampage won with a plus/minus of +13 (Eagle 88 -36). Doesn't get much closer than that!
Division 6: TBD
Nothing has been decided in this division still!!!!!!!
Division 7: TBD
Dammit Donald (1) vs Winner Barley Bros/???
Running Riot (2) vs The Cat's Meow (3)
Quarterfinal: Barley Bros vs ???
Division 8: TBD
Still nothing decided at the top of this division
Quarterfinals: Snipers (4) vs Brew Bomberz (5)
Division 9: TBD
Still a lot that can happen in the Division with just 1 game left!
Division 10:
Boozers (1) vs winner Blue Balls/Mayhem
FUBAR (2) vs Dirty One Eyed Hogs (3)
Quarterfinals: Blue Balls (4) vs Mayhem (5)
Boozers win the tiebreaker (and the division) over FUBAR due to their better plus/minus in their head-to-head games. Both teams went 1 and 1 during the regular season however the Boozers had the +11 points differential in those two games.
There was a three-way tie between Mayhem, The Blouses and Suckskatchewan for the final playoff spot in Division 10. Mayhem slips into Division 10 with a plus/minus of +41 (The Blouses -9, Sucksatchewan -32) in those head-to-head games. Continued in Division 11.
Division 11:
Suckskatchewan (1) vs Winner Old Skool/Down to Football
Blouses Football (2) vs Fighting Elms (3)
Quarterfinal: Old Skool (4) vs Down to Football (5)
When a seed is determined the tiebreakers reset, so after Mayhem received the final seed in Division 10 they were removed from the tiebreaker equation. As a consequence, The Blouses and Suckskatchewan still had identical 1-1 records versus one another so plus/minus within those games was used to decide a tiebreaker. With Mayhem removed, Susksatchewan takes the top seed in Division 11 due to their +7 points differential (The Blouses -7).
Down to Football gets third, Fighting Elms fourth, and Old Skool fifth based on defaults. Each team had the same number of points however Fighting Elms defaulted once and Old Skool twice moving them down in the standings.
Division 12:
Excessive Force (1) vs Winner Sissy Strikes Back/Dirty Vikings (4)
Benders (2) vs Blast From the Past (3)
Quarterfinal: Sissy Strikes Back (4) vs Dirty Vikings (5)
Blast from the Past gets the third seed due to their better head-to-head plus/minus vs Sissy Strikes back. Both teams were tied in the standings and were 1-1 vs each other in the regular season. In the head-to-head games Blast was +16 and Sissy -16.
Division 13:
Bullet Club (1) vs Free Agents (4)
Hulkamania (2) vs The Kraken (3)
Still a few more divisions to be decided on the last two days of the season!

Division 6:
Law Firm (1) bye
Agent Orange (2) vs Cheeseheads (7)
Barracudas (3) vs Necessary Roughness (6)
MegaPowers (4) vs Nasty Boyz (5)
Megapowers topples Nasty Boyz due to their 2-0 regular season record.
Division 7:
Dammit Donald (1) vs Winner Barley Bros/Anvils
Running Riot (2) vs The Cat's Meow (3)
Quarterfinal: Barley Bros (4) vs Anvils (5)
Barley Bros gets the fourth seed by virtue of their better plus/minus in head-to-head games. Both teams were 1-1 head-to-head with the Anvils winning the first game by just 1 point and Barley Bros the second by 4 points. So Barley gets fourth due to the +3 +/-. Should be a very evenly matched quarterfinal judging by those two games.
Division 8:
Bad Company (1) vs Winner Snipers/Brew Bomberz
Cobras (2) vs Clip Clops (3)
Quarterfinals: Snipers (4) vs Brew Bomberz (5)
There was a 4 way tie in Division 8 for top spot - easily the division with the most Parity! Snipers drop to 4th place due to their default. Of the remaining teams head-to-head plus/minus was used to decide who was first in the division. Bad Company gets first with a +/- of +36 (Cobras -4, Clip Clops -32). After one team is eliminated from a tiebreaker scenario, only plus/minus for the remaining teams are used and in that case Cobras takes third with a +/- of +4 (Clip Clops -4) i their head-to head games. What a great division!
Division 9:
Yolksters (1) Bye
Gotham Knights (2) vs D.T.F (7)
Can't Cut List (3) vs Blue Devils (6)
Bear Back (4) vs North End Hawkeyes (5)
Bear Back locks down the 4th seed by defeating North End Hawkeyes in both their regular season games.

Good luck to all teams playing tomorrow!
