The pit keeps some of the best stats around and I'm sure you'll know this one - who is the oldest player in the league to record an interception? Tonight, playing at the ripe age of 68, Dad Jonker pulled in his first int of the season. Not sure if that's been topped before. After pulling it in he grabbed his walker, re-applied his polident and broke lose for 8 1/2 yards before he was chased down from behind.

That is an impressive feat, in fact so impressive that we now have a new category of record holders "Just Plain Awesome Records" in our record book of which Dad Jonker will take his place among the pantheon of PIT greats. Mr. Earnshaw previously identified a couple of other cool records including oldest player with a touchdown (Lawson Tarbuth) and oldest QB/WR combination to connect on a TD pass (Marc Hebert to Lawson Tarbuth).
Check out the new records here: http://pitfootball.com/menu/league-record-holders
If you think you have a cool record to share, let the PIT Crew know and we will verify and perhaps add it to the record book. I will go through some other possibilities when I have more time and see what else I can come up with.
