The PIT is proud to announce the establishment of the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame, the first of its kind in the province. The Hall of Fame will honor those who have dedicated themselves to the sport of touch football in Manitoba. The Hall of Fame will be open to both current and retired players who have played the game. The Hall of Fame is also open to all players of any sanctioned touch football league in our Province's history (ie, not limited to the PIT Football League).
Five categories of Hall enshrinement have been established:
1. Player
2. Team
3. Contributor
4. Veterans
5. Team Captain

Other leagues across the country have established Hall of Fame induction procedures for their respective provinces and so it is high time that Manitoba jumped on board. We hope that the Hall of Fame will add another layer of the game day experience to those who have demonstrated their sportsmanship, success, perseverance, dedication, and longevity in the game of touch football in Manitoba. A call of nominations will go out later this month with the first ever Hall of Fame awards ceremony which will take place during Championship Weekend.

Nominations for the first class of Hall of Famers into the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame are now being accepted. The nominations will go for the next two weeks and will close August 24th.
The Hall of Fame will honor those who have dedicated themselves to the sport of touch football in Manitoba. Hall of Fame nominations are open to both current and retired players who have played any sanctioned touch football league in our Province's history (ie, not limited to the PIT Football League).

A reminder that the final day to nominate a player or team for the inaugural class of the touch football Hall of Fame is tomorrow (August 24th). We have a great group of nominees already but you can still add some finalists to the ballot!

The PIT would like to thank all of those who nominated a former/current player to the Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame. We had a great response and while the Hall of Fame Committee had some tough choices to make, they did a great job in selected the inaugural HOF class!

The HOF link will be updated with player bios this week with a new bio going up each day until we reach the weekend's induction ceremony. Each player will be honored prior to the start of our championship games on Saturday at Investors Group Field, with a HOF dinner in their honor forthcoming shortly. Manitoba has a very storied history of touch football and we hope to keep the legacy of those that have helped build the game alive. The PIT congratulates our first draft class.

Our first class of Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Famers were inducted on championship weekend. The legends assembled at IGF and were each provided some great swag courtesy of Harv-Al Sportswear, Play-All Awards and the PIT Football League. Each of our Hall of Famers will be treated to a HOF dinner upcoming shortly in addition to their VIP treatment championship weekend. Congrats again to each of our inductees:

A big thanks goes out to our Hall of Fame selection committee who answered the call for volunteers and selected the first ever class of the Touch Football Hall of Fame. Our volunteers could not have chosen a better group of people for an inaugural class. We had over 25 different nominees which were whittled down to the five below:

A big thanks goes out to our Hall of Fame selection committee who answered the call for volunteers and selected the first ever class of the Touch Football Hall of Fame. With the Hall of Fame being so new there were some many deserving nominations. The selection committee had over 30 different nominees which were whittled down to the six below. I am sure many of the players who were nominated this year will get their due in the years to come!
