Following in the footsteps of the U20 team that won the National championship for their age group last weekend, the Senior Mens (Over 20) team will attempt to win a National Championship in Halifax this upcoming weekend. 11 of the best teams in Canada will vie for the title with the winner representing Canada at the World Championships in the Bahamas come September.

The Senior Mens team was selected by Football Manitoba, a link to the roster can be found here: http://pitfootball.com/teams/15693-team-manitoba-flag

Ideally this team can duplicate the success of the U20s and bring the PIT their third National crown! Follow us @PITFootball for daily updates!

Five of the ten teams are also nationally ranked touch football teams, with the defending Canadian champions a team that just plays flag. It should be an interesting blend of touch football savvy vs flag knowhow. Team Manitoba takes to the field shortly versus New Brunswick a team we know nothing about and is one of the flag teams. New competition is always fun!

Team Manitoba finished Day #1 with victories over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Tomorrow is the big test as the team takes on the top touch football team in the tournament and the defending National championship flag team.

Congratulations to our Provinical Flag Football team who finished with the bronze medal at the Over 20 National championships in Halifax this past weekend. Team Manitoba fell to eventual winners Saskatchewan in the semifinals and defeated the 3-time national champions from Dartmouth in the bronze medal game. A great showing considering the team from Manitoba was the only team not to play Flag Football as part of their league play! A testament to the caliber of play in the PIT!
