Boston Pizza is back sponsoring the PIT membership for the duration of the Winter 2016 season. Boston Pizza has generously provided a personal pizza to enjoy at any of Winnipeg's Boston Pizza locations to the player deemed to have exemplified sportsmanship, dedication and mad skillz each weekend.

Garth Irvine of Touched by Angels kicks off the Winter season in style throwing for three touchdowns and scoring seven additional points in an Angels victory over the Knighthawks. Garth is now just one touchdown short of 150 on his career in the PIT also racking up 57 points and 17 interceptions in just 48 games played. If these guys get the necessary playing experience what them rise up in the standings and in the divisions!

The fate of the Touched by Angels franchise depends on it!

Give cooking the finger and hit up Boston Pizza after your games for some great team specials on pizzas and beer.

Congratulations Garth, your Boston Pizza GC will be attached to a future game card.

Week #2 is already in the books and Jamie Morris had a great night for Swift Kick in the Grass leading them to a 30-27 victory over the Free Agents. Jamie threw for four touchdown passes, intercepted three passes and ran in a convert for good measure all while leading a furious comeback after the team got down 14 points early. While it is only week one Jamie has set a blistering pace and currently leads the division in both interceptions and touchdown passes.

Perhaps Jamie can provide some football advice.

In Week #3 Jonathon Remple of the Squad nearly single-handedly led his team to victory over the Danger Zone after throwing for a touchdown, scoring 13 points and hauling in an interception. Unfortunately for Remple and the Squad they were upended in one of our record pace of overtime games that have already occurred this season. Time will tell if Remple will be able to lead his team to their second straight Winter divisional crown in a very hotly contested division.

But can the Squad defeat the Borg?

The newest Boston Pizza player of the week is Chilo Simunyola of Still Tippin' who scored a touchdown, had two sacks, in addition to an interception in their Saturday night tilt versus the Nasty Boyz. Chilo is in the top ten for both sacks and interceptions in the division and becoming quite the defensive force.

Like the force of gravity?

Luke Jacobucci of North Bay hauled in very impressive four interceptions to go along with 12 points last weekend to easily take home the most current Boston Pizza player of the week award. Not surprisingly Luke has pulled out to an early lead in the Division 7 interception race with six interceptions overall. Luke was the MVP of the all-star game not too long ago, yet we aren't seeing him this year? North Bay get your all-star player out on Sunday!

Who knows what might happen when the all-stars get together!

Our newest Boston Pizza player of the week is Matthew Berens of Gym Class heroes who hauled in three touchdown passes and an interception in a great back and forth game versus MaddCatzz. Iron manning the whole game Gym Class Heroes ran the read option to perfection to keep the game close until a late TD by the Catzz put the game out of reach. Matthew moves into sixth in the division in scoring in one of the funniest offenses to watch in the PIT.

If Gym Class Heroes can win their final two games they can definitely rally for the playoffs:

Kyle Reynolds of Interlake Thunder wins the current Boston Pizza POW award after registering six sacks versus the Dilligafs Friday night. Kyle leads both his team and division 17 in sacks with 13. In fact, Kyle running away with the sack title as he is already ten sacks clear of the second place player in the Division through the first three games of the season!

Perhaps Kyle will bring Vader for his dinner courtesy of Boston Pizza:

Jessica Waite of Dolls and Balls is our newest Boston Pizza player of the week after scoring a touchdown and picking off a pass in the Dolls 26-22 victory over Diving Snatch this past weekend. Dolls and Balls are fresh off their Fall recreational championship and currently sit 2 points out of first place in the Competitive coed standings this winter. In fact, five the six teams in the division are now grouped within two points of one another demonstrating the great parity that can be found in the coed division.

If Jessica and the Dolls and Balls keep playing like this it will be game over for the rest of the division!

Week #9 saw Jeremy Yuen have a break out game for Awesome team after scoring a convert and touchdown on offense he also had two interceptions on defense to go along with multiple defensive break ups which didn't make it on the stats sheet. Jeremy moved into the top ten in Division 12 interceptions, lived up to his teams namesake, and takes home the Boston Pizza player of the week award as a result!

Go sports team!

or if you are as awesome as Awesome team you can listen to the awesomely awesome extended version here:

Kurt Parker of the Honey Badgers must have set some kind of individual record last night hauling in a remarkable six interceptions in a single game. Those six picks stopped six drives yet the Honey Badgers still lost the game in an overtime thriller to those Damn Yankees! Kurt now has nine interceptions through four games, good enough to have sole possession of top spot in Division 18.

With games like that Kurt will be able to crack the girl code pretty easy.
