The unsung heroes of the PIT held their windup last night and we had the largest referee turnout in PIT history as the majority of our refs showed up for some pizza and drinks all on the PIT tab. Ask anyone who has traveled to different provinces to play and they will certainly tell you that the reffing in the PIT is second to none. Our referees are the most highly trained in recreational sports and we wouldn't be able to play the game we love to play without them. So next time you see our referees take the time to thank them and let them know that they are appreciated. It is easy to criticize hard to commend.

i think i always add to this post every year..... but our refs are BY FAR!!! the best in this country - so cut them some slack folks, they do a great job.
Go elsewhere in this country and the refs get amnesia mid game (not even lying) so be thankful we have such a dedicated and skilled crew.

Haha, Gwiz is not lying about the amnesia ref! That actually happened during the Nationals tournament in Hamilton. Thanks for the props Neil, players should know we do have the best and most highly trained refs and contrary to their beliefs the refs have better things to do than plot against players and/or teams.
