The Inaugural Never Alone Football Classic will take place Saturday September 26th at Markus Howell Field at Charlie Krupp Stadium, the home to Manitoba’s largest amateur football program, the North Winnipeg Nomads.

The Nomads have called the North End of Winnipeg home since 1969, and this year team up with Lyle Bauer and Dave Black members of the Blue Bomber Hall of Fame and 3 Time Grey Cup Champions to host the Inaugural Never Alone Football Classic presented by Ivan’s Auto Body.

“This is a great opportunity to marry football, business, and philanthropy for the betterment of all. The Winnipeg Nomads have been a long standing example of commitment to the youth of the area. Ivan's Autobody and Glass have also been a cornerstone in the community for over 30 years and are committed to contributing to a better life for so many. We look forward to the partnership and a great event in support of the nomads, the community and the fight against cancer. A special thanks to North Winnipeg Nomads and Ivan's Autobody and Glass for taking the lead in this great initiative. "

Each Team with have special Guest Coaches featuring Blue Bomber Alumni lead by Grey Cup Champions David Black and Lyle Bauer mentoring teams from our communities including a teams from the Winnipeg Police Service and will play a round robin coed flag football tournament in support of the Never Alone Foundation with the winner taking home hardware and bragging rights for a full year. “It’s simply an honor to be able to have our local heroes be able to come to our field, our gridiron and show their support not only for the Nomads but the Never Alone Foundation – we admire all these organizations and proud to be able to part of such a community event.” Stated Nomads President Nathan Yamron.

Each Team will have to fund-raise a minimum of $1500 which will include food, t-shirts with net proceeds going to the Never Alone Foundation.
This inaugural event goes rain or shine, cloud or wind, we’ll play in the mud even the snow as well!
Bring the entire family to not only watch the games but participate in family fun games and activities for the entire family.
The general public is invited for our Awards Celebration at Tavern United– Canad Inns Garden City on Saturday September 26th at 6:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased for the Awards Celebration online at www.neveralonefoundation.ca
