Hello fellow PIT members,
My name is Jamie Wilson. I’ve been a player in the PIT for 6 years now. I’ve played for the Cobras & Woodys, and seen time with the Mudhogs and DOGGS.
I also run a ball hockey league for boys aged 12-18, mostly from the inner city. I’m hosting a fundraising disc golf tournament on September 12 at Happyland Park (corner of Archibald & Marion) from 9am-12pm. The event is to raise money for equipment, team t-shirts, year end awards, etc., as well as making it possible for every youth to participate.
There is no experience necessary as it is easy to learn and a lot of fun! Registration includes 2 discs (driver & putter) for you to keep.
There are prizes and a free BBQ to follow tournament play. Prizes will be awarded for Longest Drive, Hole-In-One, Closest to the Pin, Top Golfer, and more!

Registration is $100. Some participants go the route of asking friends, family, teammates, for $10, $20 or any amount their comfortable with, while others donate the $100 themselves. Either is accepted.
However, there are incentives to raise more:
$250-$499 - $50 gift card
$500-$749 - $100 gift card
$750+ - $150 gift card
You can choose a gift card from the follow places, Source for Sports, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, or Best Buy.
Also, there is a prize (TBA) for the Top Fundraiser.
