1JustCity represents a group of not-for-profit organizations working together to build a city founded on Justice. 1JustCity believes in the better Winnipeg we can create by working in collaboration with the many organizations in Winnipeg seeking to promote positive social change. 1JustCity seeks to strengthen and support social justice work happening in Winnipeg.
Here is a message from 1JustCity to the all-stars of the PIT:
"Hey All-Stars! We hope you have a healthy balanced meal with protein to prep for your big game this weekend and we hope that you might be able to help others do the same through 1JustCity! 1JustCity is an organization that supports five small non for profits. At them more than 1,200 children are fed annually, over 90 families receive food supplements twice a week, and 300 meals are served daily to those who would otherwise go without. Can you be an All-Star for them too? We are in desperate need of canned proteins including; peanut butter, beans, chickpeas, tuna, and salmon.
The PIT is asking that all people in attendance for the all-star game bring one or more of the aforementioned canned good to donate at the all-star game. There will be a table set up for donations. While donations are not required to attend we hope that the generosity of those in the PIT will help 1JustCity feed those who cannot afford to play touch football!
As part of the donation there will be a massage table set up for those PIT players who want to partake in a massage by a fully licensed masseuse. Only cost is a food donation to 1JustCity.
So for the price of some canned goods you will receive an all-star t shirt, great swag, and a buffet dinner with drinks at the Water's Edge Lounge following the all-star game!
