Messages for Measuring Day

As many who follow the forums know the PIT Crew has systematically been permanently staking in each of the fields in order to be able to more quickly respond to field linings and not spend hours each year having to remark out the same fields from scratch. It is quite a laborious process that takes quite a few man hours to complete, and as Brent can attest many a blister! A big ups to Brent this year in helping out with the field lining and for taking on the staking of the fields.

Neil McKernan has also been extremely helpful in not only lining the fields by helping us square out the fields properly (you can't fight math!). As the following pictures show our fields from yesteryear were almost perfect...but almost isn't perfect and the PIT strives for perfection. River Elm, HS Paul and George McDowell were giving the stake treatment and squared out properly...and we can now say the dimensions are perfect!

Check out the staking process here and view some great measurements in the process: http://pitfootball.com/albums/745-measuring-day
