The Pint is the PIT's newest sponsor and will be providing $25 gift certificates to the player of the week who exhibits great play making abilities and even greater passion to hang out with their teammates after games to celebrate victory or drown their sorrows in defeat.

The first ever Pint POW award goes to Jeff Einarson of the Sleeveless Monstars who threw for four touchdowns and ran in another in victory over the Ledge. Its early in the season but Jeff is currently situated in third place in Div 4 touchdown passes and we are sure he will be challenging for the passing title come September.

With play like that Jeff will never been mistaken for being Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern Bad.

Congratulations Jeff we will be getting your gift certificates out to you on a future game card or you can contact us for pick up.

I have been to the PINT a few times this past week and have seen PIT players there every time! The PINT wanted to remind everyone that the 20% off coupons are good all summer so you can hang onto those when you come in! The PINT also reminded me to award the next POW award.

The Week #2 PINT POW is Jon Ferguson of the Slobberknockers who had three sacks and a touchdown in another nail biter of a game versus the Enforcers. Jon has made quite the first impression with the Slobbies and currently sits in second place for sacks in Division 5. Having previously played 11 out of the last 12 seasons with the Chuggernauts, Jon was promoted to the Slobbies show this summer and that Free Agent signing has paid off...unlike some of these guys.

The PIT is running a bit behind in these awards with all the field lining going on these days, but we will be catching up shortly. Week 3 is long in the books and looking back at the games the performance by Chris Heidebrecht of the Cheeseheads sticks out.

Chris scored 12 points and hauled in three interceptions in the Cheeseheads defeat of the Slobberknockers. With that game under his belt Chris moved into second in Division 5 in interceptions and 4th in points. Since the NBA finals are in full swing, lets switch of the sports genre and check out NBA players reading mean tweets:

We are up to the first week in June in giving away our player of the week awards and in going through those games the newest player of the week award goes to veteran Al Bloomfield of the Anvils.

Al scored 12 points in an close loss to the Blue Balls and also added a sack in a game versus the Brew Bomberz. In examining Al's career stats his two touchdowns are not out of the ordinary as he is closing in on the 800 point plateau however it was only Al's 10th sack in 262 games played! Getting 10% of one's career sacks in one game is pretty good...maybe not as good as some of these tweets however!

The Blue Balls had a busy start to June and thus were able to rack up some wins and great performances. During that time Tim McDowell threw for 12 touchdowns, scored 12 points and brought down three interceptions. In the game that got his statistical string going, Tim McDonald brought his Blue Balls team from the brink of a loss with two interceptions both for touchdowns in the dying moments of what turned out to be a 21-20 Blue Balls victory over Barley Bros.

Pretty hard to say something mean about a game like that!

We are starting to catch up on all the player of the week awards as we are now up to the third week in June! During that week The Sound and the Fury recorded their second victory of the season defeating the Nasty Boyz in no small part to James Filbys two touchdown outburst. James was a key off season unrestricted free agent signing who has come in to lead the Sound and the Fury in scoring and currently place in the top 10 in points scored in Division 7.

Much like Gina Davis, James is proving to be a real man's man!

New week, new PINT POW award winner! The newest winner of a $25 gift certificate from the PINT is Eric Hladkyj of the Nasty Boys who threw for four touchdowns to four different receivers in victory over Necessary Roughness. This was the second victory for the Nasty in the season and while the team hasn't got off to the start they had hoped I wouldn't count this team out come playoffs, just too much talent on the roster.

Being the Nasty Boyz, they are probably used to some nasty tweets.

First week of July meant some great fireworks on the field and Tony Dalgliesh of the Benders did not disappoint as he sparked the Benders to just their second win of the season (although they just won the last game for a two game winning streak). The Benders defeated the Gym Class Heroes 21-12 in no small part due to Tony's two interceptions and touchdown reception.

Perhaps the Benders can make it a three-peat in their next game on the 23rd. Until then perhaps they can read some tweets to pass the time.

Our next winner of the July PINT POW award goes to Jean-Guy Mercier of Big Deal who threw for five touchdowns and ran in a convert in a closely fought victory over the Brewers. Division 3 has become a barn burner and with recent upset losses by top seeds the Warriors and Football Junkies it really has become anyone's division for the taking. Jean-Guy will bring his veteran savvy and 34 touchdown passes, good for third in the division, to the stretch run where Big Deal is always...well a big deal. Kinda like these tweets:

Our Pint Player of the Week award winners now have some bad company! Mihn Tran of Bad Company had three interceptions to go along with three touchdowns in Bad Company's defeat of the Anvils. In another hotly contest division, four points separates four teams from third to sixth place. Mihn Tran is doing his best to lead the Bad Company charge with just over a month remaining in the regular season. Mihn is currently fifth in the division in scoring and this three interceptions in the game...were well his first three interception of the season.

Maybe Bad Company should get this guy on defense before they receive some mean tweets!

Chester Wojciechowski of the Vipers takes over the PINT POW award with his three interceptions and thirteen points spread across two victories versus Clip Clops during the final days of July. The Vipers have won three of their last four games after a slow start to the season and are moving up the ladder in division 6 where they currently sit in fourth place. Just like the Vipers Chester has been moving up the INT leader board and those three interceptions vaulted him to his current position at the top of the divisional interception stats with 10.

Nothing undeniable about that:

Wes Holdnick of FUBAR is the first PINT POW award winner for the month of August. Wes led his team to a 22-16 victory over the surging Free Agents on the back of a three touchdown pass 1 point performance. Wes is currently tied for 6th in touchdown passes in 10 and the QB tandem of Wes and Trevor MacHutchon are part of the reason FUBAR currently sits in third place in the Division.

I am sure these people reading mean tweets want to FUBAR those writing them!

Our second PIT player of the week for the month of August is Dale Recksideler of Crimson Tide who has 12 points on two touchdown receptions in a close lose to Sports. In the game honorable mention goes to Hoan Mac who threw for 6 touchdown passes, two each to Dale, Lyall Buckland, and Mike Funk. The flag division has been especially close this year and it will be anyone's game come playoffs. Teams of the PIT are definitely encouraged to check out flag games and get their teams ready for next season!

There are no ass clowns in flag football!

The newest PINT player of the week recipient is Cody Kennard of Sports poured in 24 points to lead Sports to victory over Crimson Tide in a 48-36 barn burner of a game that shows how high scoring flag football can become. If you saw one flag game this season this would have been the one to watch and I am sure it would have enthralled the audience and drawn more members of the PIT into the flag football game!

You can't mute the players of flag football!

Romeo Zapata is the newest PINT player of the week award as he poured in two interceptions and two touchdowns in a close 27-24 victory over the free agents. The win helped start the two game winning streak that Uncle Rico's Football Academy will be on entering the playoffs next weekend. Romeo closed the season himself second on Uncle Rico's in both points and interceptions...now that is something to tweet about!

Our final PINT player of the week for the Summer 2015 season goes to Jordan Moore of Law Firm who scored 12 points and had four interceptions in leading Law Firm to victory and the Division 9 regular season title. The 12 points pushed Jordan into fourth place in the division but his four interceptions not only increased his divisional lead in that category they gave him 30 picks on the season good for the league lead and a new all-time interception record! The 30 interceptions eclipsed the record 27 formally held by Steve Nabess Sr which was set in 2013!

I don't think any sort of mean tweet can bring down that kind of accomplishment!
