Barley Brothers is back to sponsor the Saturday Night player of the week award for the duration of the Winter season. Barley Brothers will offer $25 gift certificates to players who demonstrate how well they are at their craft! Here is a bit of info on Barley Brothers:

Barley Brothers is a locally owned and Craft Beer Pub with 72 Craft Beer taps. The taps are constantly changing, as we look for cool different beers. Our food is a mix of Canadiana and German Beer Hall. We have things like Burgers, Steaks, Schnitzels, Perogies, Wings, House made Sausages, and lots of other options. We have daily drink and food specials. With 20 TVs, it doesn't matter where you sit, you have a good line of sight for the games. Teams/players can make a reservation after their games. Please let Barley Bros know that you are part of the PIT so they can make your experience that much better!

The first Barley Bros POW goes to Kris Parker of Primetime Six. Kris played in his first ever game in the PIT and scored three touchdowns...against the three time defending elite champions the Horde. Not a bad way to start your PIT career! Not surprisingly Kris also finds himself tied for 1st in Div 1 scoring and gets the nod as the best Saturday had to offer.

Kris can use his gift certificate for an after dinner omelet!

Week 2 is in the books and that means its time to award the next Barley Bros "Craft" Player of the Week Award.

This week the award goes to Doug Larke of the Sh*thawks who scored 19 points in a 34-12 victory over Back Dat Pass Up. The 'hawks evened up their record at 1-1 and Doug now leads the division in scoring with 32 points through the first two weeks of Spring indoor.

Here is Doug's emotional reaction in learning he is the newest Barley Bros POW recipient:

We have now hit the halfway point in the Spring season and to mark that milestone Courtney Dyck takes the next Barley Bros "Craft" Player of the Week Award.

Courtney threw down two converts and an interception in her first game, a Reebok Choy victory over Medical Whiskey, but she really broke out in the second game scoring three touchdowns, a convert and hauling in another interception in yet another victory! In two games Courtney's stat line was 21 points 2 interceptions putting her second in the coed division in both points and interceptions! If Courtney can keep up the pace it would be the first time a lady was in the top three in stats in two different statistical categories in the same season!

To celebrate head to Barley Bros, they have a million beers on tap (fact!) and no molecular mixology there.

As we head towards the playoffs teams are rounding into form and players are really picking up their game making it hard to select the newest Barley Bros "Craft" Player of the Week Award.

The Week 4 award goes to Justin Stewart of the Guild and Beerhawks who called his own number last Saturday when he said he would have his finest stats game of his career. Justin backed that proclamation up scoring 19 points and hauling in an interception in the Guild victory over Nemesis. Justin did indeed have a career game after calling his shot and then followed the game up by scoring another 7 points in the Beerhawks victory over the House of Blues.

Like Ron Swanson its too bad Justin doesn't know how to check this site and will probably never know he just won a $25 gift certificate from Barley Bros!
