The PIT is proud to announce the start of registration for its seventh season of Winter indoor football. The largest and fastest growing touch football league in Canada will be offering divisions of skill from elite to beginner. Back by popular demand we will be returning both the coed division and the Master's Division (eligibility requirement being 40+ years of age, may turn 40 during season)!
IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION:
Due to rising banking costs we are offering teams a break on registration if you pay by etransfer. For those paying by this method cost will be $675. For those paying by any other method the costs will be $700. So save yourself some money and pay by etransfer, its safe, convenient and once you sign up you won't want to pay any other way! We have also decided to reduce the number of weeks of the winter season and therefore there will be FEWER teams allowed into the Winter league. The league will sell out. The fall league sold out in record time and the winter will too. January 3rd is the deadline for registration but register early to ensure you are one of the teams that get in for winter! Teams have been given their fair warning!
WINTER INFO:
As our membership has come to expect the PIT will offer the best facility, fields, competition, referees and swag in the most competitive and enjoyable environment. Our mandate is to provide players and teams with the best game day experience possible and our history speaks for itself!
Winter 2015 Indoor Season Information:
Season Starts: Friday January 9th
Season Ends: Saturday April 4th
Start times: Fridays/Saturdays as early as 10:15pm
Divisions: Capped at 6 teams, top 4 teams make playoffs. Teams guaranteed a minimum of 5 games; each game is 1 hour in duration.
Registration Deadline: Noon Saturday January 3rd (but will sell out much earlier!)
<b>Cost: $675 if paying by Interac Etransfer (inclusive of GST and insurance)
Cost: $700 if paying by any other method (inclusive of GST and insurance)</b>
Teams may schedule off any weekends with the exception of playoffs
The PIT is the only indoor league that offers insurance to its players and does not charge for schedule requests. Cash, certified cheque, and interac e-transfers accepted. Cheques are payable to PIT FOOTBALL CORP. Registration Deadline/League Cap:
We appreciate your support and will continue to run the best touch football league in Manitoba. However, due to the limited supply of available fields we will be capping the number of teams in the Winter. We have also decided to shorten the Winter season which means that LESS TEAMS will be allowed into the league during the Winter season. This is your fair warning that registration will sell out quickly!!!! Although the registration deadline for the Winter season is noon Saturday January 3rd, teams are strongly encouraged to register early to ensure a spot in the league. The Winter season has sold out each year since our first season and we will assuredly be sold out once again prior to the deadline date. Please keep in mind that the league reserves the right to close registration early if we have reached the cap on teams. Don't get left out in the cold, the earlier you register the better chance you will be playing in Manitoba's largest and fastest growing touch football league.

Divisions will be aligned according to team calibre. Teams of all skill levels are encouraged to register. We will find a competitive division for all teams who are interested for the Fall league. The PIT will offer 19 different levels of skill for the Fall. If you have any questions regarding registration, divisions, competitive balance, or anything else be sure to contact us! No matter what division you played in previously, or if you are new to the game, we can find a competitive division for you. A remarkable 33 teams signed up on day one of Winter registration, accounting for 26% of spots for the season! Looks like we are well on our way to selling out the Winter session quicker than we did in the fall!

I will be skipping the winter session but are the spring rates similar? How early can I register for that?

Spring rates should be similar, registration will probably open early March! Planning ahead to ensure you get in is always a good thing. Darren you should be approaching Master's age...perhaps hit that up for Winter.

I keep a younger team around me to offset my well aged broken knees. I won't qualify for the masters until next fall season when I will probably throw my hat in the ring to give it a go.

The PIT pushed passed 80 teams on Tuesday evening. We are now at 2/3rds capacity for the Winter season. The season is filling up fast, don't end up missing out on the season and having to do this:
Play football...or else your lady might convince you to curl!

The PIT has just hit 99 teams registered onto the 2015 Winter season. There is still room for more but the PIT crew is confident that the Winter season will be sold out well before the Jan 3rd cutoff date. Get your teams registered and paid to join the PIT's 25th season of Touch football in Winnipeg.
