While I thank you for the notice, I don't understand how you couldn't find one or two more players. It takes more work, yes, but all you do is poll your team for players that they know, people they know, their neighbours, someone you thought you'd like to see play in case they are decent... lots of options... and worst case scenario you post on here what your needs are and ask Jon and/or Scott for a last minute add on from the people that respond (people are always looking to play)... The league does not want defaults so they will make every effort to accommodate as long as you don't add a known ringer. It's better than all the losses that come with a default.

Why are you being so weird about this?
Would you rather me have not informed you and had your entire team drive across the city for no reason?
We have been tight on numbers all year, and it sucked for our team but a couple guys got called into work pretty last minute and a few other guys are injured right now. Maybe ask me before posting publicly about how we didn't try to field a team. We as in a bunch of guys from the team, called/messaged a bunch of people (neighbours, buddies of buddies, another lower division team) none of which put Touch Football as their priority for the night.
It is ignorant of you to think you are the only one that lost something and even more ignorant to think we didn't put in any effort. Our lives don't revolve around touch football, it is an activity us as grown ass men choose to spend our free time playing, but believe it or not other people have other things to do some nights, and unfortunately for both our teams last night we had too many guys with more important things to do and we couldn't find replacements who wanted to drive 45 minutes to go play. Our guys who could have played are pissed about it too, but at the end of the day we both lost game time. You get the win we lose 2 points which is absolutely fair and life goes on, I tried to give you guys a chance to see your wives/girlfriends/kids last night instead of wasting a night driving and hanging around an empty field, more than most captains have done in the past for me so You are Welcome!
Your other post talks as if this default is an epidemic in PIT, but I think PIT has done a great job at limiting the number of defaults compared to the number of games played, some nights there is just nothing you can do no matter what the rules are. FYI I have never received any money for defaults and we have been defaulted against every year at least once I'm pretty sure.
This was our first default in 7 years of touch football so take it easy, the sky isn't falling. Get out and watch the Big Blue go for victory tonight

Not being weird, I said I thank you for the notice you gave, and I meant it. Sorry that it came across as an attack or something, that wasn't my intention. I believe you that you made every effort now. As a captain of teams I guess I just wanted to speak about the options available (like posting on the site for players) because no one wins in a default. Your team was just the catalyst to the message I felt like sharing (especially for newer teams). Again, to be clear, thank you for making the effort to inform us of the default. All good... I'm really not as angry as my picture portrays.
