Flag Football kicks off this Saturday! A reminder to teams of the following rule changes:
1. No kick offs. The ball will be scrimmaged automatically at the 30 yard line. This rule was enacted to increase player safety.
2. Since kick off have been removed the onside kick rule has also been eliminated.
3. To account for no onside kicks teams will now have three timeouts per half (none will carry over from one half to the next).
4. Flag football will now have four referees at each game, two of which will be on the line, one head ref and one back judge.
If your team does not have the required flags and belts they can be purchased at Home Run Sports. You cannot use any flags/belts that are not league regulation. The flags/belts will be in by Friday so please call ahead to Home Run Sports if you are going down to pick them up. Also for new players a reminder that you CANNOT wear shorts/pants with pockets as that is a safety hazard.
