Despite the frigid weather and snow on the ground the start of the sixth season of PIT outdoor football is just around the corner. From our humble beginnings with 24 teams across 5 divisions, the PIT has become the largest touch football league in Canada! In 2014 we will be offering at least 11 divisions of skill and brought back the successful 8 on 8 limited contact flag football. As our membership has come to expect, the PIT will offer the best facility, fields, competition, referees, and swag in the most competitive and enjoyable environment. Our mandate is to provide players and teams with the best game day experience possible and our history speaks for itself!
Summer 2014 Season Information:
Season Starts: Saturday, May 10th (weather permitting)
Season Ends: Sunday, October 5th (weather permitting)
Registration Deadline: Thursday May 1st
Registration Held: The Rec Room from 7:00pm to 10:00pm (1875 Pembina Highway). The PIT and the Rec Room will be cooking up some deals for all team captains in attendance, so keep posted. Touch Football 7 on 7:
Divisions: 11 levels of skill, 18 regular season games, all teams make playoffs
Cost: $1950 (inclusive of GST and insurance)
Flag 8 on 8 Limited Contact (3 man pass-eligible line with safe blocking):
Divisions: The PIT will once again offer two divisions of skill: competitive and beginner/intermediate. Teams will receive 15 regular season games, all teams make playoffs
Cost: $1750 (inclusive of GST and insurance)

Only a couple more days until Summer registration closes! Right now we have 88 teams registered on the website and counting. In order to register teams must have their team on the site and paid up.
A reminder that registration night will be held at the Rec Room 1875 Pembina Highway from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Our newest sponsor will be handing out a free beer to each team captain that comes to register that night. Even if you have pre-registered by paying early team captains are welcome to come down to check out the competition and have a free beverage.
All teams must have their schedule request forms in by Thursday as well. Scheduling will start right away as we hope to kick the season off May 10th (weather permitting).
Any players who have yet to find a team may join the free agent team for the summer. Please contact Scott or Jon to have your name added to the pool of free agents. All skill levels are welcome.

Registration night is Thursday and the PIT league has over 90 teams registered on the site. This is a friendly reminder that The PIT Crew will not be accepting schedule requests once the scheduling process begins which is at the conclusion of registration. The Free Agent team still has some room for those looking to join the league or jump on an additional squad. The Free Agent team will be capped at 13 or 14, so anyone considering it should contact myself or Jon asap.

A final reminder that registration is tonight! The PIT Crew will be at the Rec Room (1875 Pembina Highway across the street from Staples/Future Shop) from 6:00pm to 9:30pm accepting registration. Please also ensure that all schedule requests are in by tonight as scheduling will start Friday. The Rec Room will be providing a free beer for all team captains coming down.
Team captains must ensure that their roster is complete as the current roster will be used for divisional placement. Team captains are warned that NO high division players will be allowed to join lower division teams after todays deadline so get your completed roster up by tonight! Teams have been fairly warned.
