Courtesy of our newest sponsor, The Rec Room Interactive Lounge will be handing out gift certificates valued at $20 to each player of the week for the duration of the Winter Season. Check out Winnipeg's newest concept in a sports lounge at 1875 Pembina Highway.
And the first ever Rec Room POW award goes to...Cara Isaak for her 13 point one interception performance for the Goats and the Squirrels on Friday night. In the opening game Cara scored a touchdown and had a convert in the Squirrels victory over their deadliest rivals the Chipmunks, Cara then followed that up with a key interception and the winning touchdown on a long bomb courtesy of Kory "Red" Stagg in the Goats narrow 14-12 victory over the Cobras.
The PIT certainly has a lot of teams named after animals. We do support our animal brethren...except those damn budgies who keep hoarding all of our nuts. Stop hoarding nuts budgies, you don't even like them!
Congratulations Cara for being the PIT's first..and you always remember your first!

Marc Martin of the Jabroni's is going to hit up the Rec Room in style having won the Rec Room POW award and a $20 gift certificate to go along with it!
Marc scored 14 points on the strength of two touchdowns and two converts in the Jabroni's shootout loss to Manchild United last weekend. Marc currently sits 4th in Division 17 scoring have been a part of a remarkable 58.5% of his entire teams scoring for the season. You could say that Marc really jazzed the crowd with his play.

We are already into our third week of our new Rec Room sponsorship and it appears to be quite the hit from the players who have gone to check the place out. Our newest POW will be able to do so with a $20 gift certificate in hand!
Sean Paton of Payne and Gain-ing captures the POW award scoring two touchdowns and hauling in an interception in a near upset of Divison 21 favorites Hooked on Phonics. While this team felt some Payne going 0-5 in the division for Winter they were quite competitive and having a few beverages on the Rec Room should help sooth the Payne and help with the Gain.

The Rec Room is back to sponsor the Spring season and POW will be coming fast and furious as we head into week three (seems like Winter just ended!).
Our first winner of the Rec Room POW award is Evan Pollard. Evan had an interception and 13 points in the Sex Panthers inaugural game on opening weekend. The Sex Panthers came close to making the Barracudas their dinner but a late score ended the Panthers first game in defeat. But hey, 60% of the time the Sex Panthers will win every time!

Our newest Rec Room Player of the Week (and second of the Spring) is Kristjan "Tesla" Hunter of Big T's Electric Company. Mr. Tesla threw two touchdowns to WR Tyrone Weichinski and two converts to Thomas "Edison" Light, while also hauling in an interception. The newbies to the PIT are currently 0-2 in division 10 but we know that these guys will be able to use some alternating current to change up their season.
Without Nicola Tesla there would be no Big T's Electric Company! Since no one cares about historical accuracy anymore you can get the gist of things here:

The Rec Room will continue to partner with the PIT for the duration of the summer season providing each of the players of the week a $20 gift certificate which can be used for either food or drinks following teams games during the summer. When playing in the south be sure to drop by and tell them the PIT sent you! The Rec Room is located at 1875 Pembina Highway.
Our first player of the week for the Summer season is Derek Fritzche of the Ninja Militia. Derek has set a torrid pace to start the season putting up 14 points in Ninja Militia's 20-7 win over Shiva Blast in week 1. Derek is currently on pace to record 252 points during the season and the Militia should continue to go undefeated if that is the case!
Perhaps Derek should join Sterling Archer and Alton Brown in a breakfast of champions!
